October 10, 2017  The Dale County Commission convened in a regular session Tuesday, October 10, 2017. The following members were present: Mark Blankenship, Chairman; District One Commissioner Chris Carroll; District Two Steve McKinnon; District Three Charles' W. Gary; and District Four Commissioner Frankie' Wilson. Chairman Blankenship called the meeting to order at 11:00 am on October 10, 2017. Commissioner Carroll opened with the Pledge of Allegiance. CommissionerWison followed with prayer.  APPROVED - MINUTES - September 26, 2017 REGULAR SESSION  Commissioner McKinnon made a motion to approve the minutes of the September 26, 2017 meeting.  Commissioner Gary seconded the motion, and it carried unanimously.  APPROVED - TRAVEL REQUEST  Commissioner Gary made a motion to approve travel request for:  Road and Bridge Department - Bridge School - October 25 -26, 2017- - Opelika, Al. $6 625.00 - Derek Brewer, Drew Meacham, Jesse Sirmans and Andrew Faulk. Coroner - Woody Hilboldt- - Continuing Education - October 11th and 12th 2017 Commissioner McKinnon seconded the motion, and it carried unanimously.  Foley, Al. $ 564.00  APPROVED  WORK REQUEST  Commissioner McKinnon made a motion to approve Road & Bridge to make repairs at Newton School and Commissioner Gary made a motion to make repairs to Randolph St. in Pinckard and bill Pinckard for the  bill Dale County Schools for the cost of $1112.80.  Commissioner Gary seconded the motion, and it carried unanimously.  cost of $556.40.  Commissioner Wilson seconded the motion, and it carried unanimously.  APPROVED -I NEW HIRE  Commissioner McKinnon made a motion to approve:  Carolina Jackson - Sherif's Office - Courthouse Security . $11.00 per hour. Commissioner Carroll seconded the motion, and it carried unanimously.    October 10, 2017  APPROVED - MEDICAID FORCOUNTY INMATES PROGRAM PARTICIPATION AGREEMENT Commissioner McKinnon made a motion to approve the AGREEMENT between The County, ACCA and the Sheriff to report county inmates to Medicaid. Commissioner Carroll seconded the motion, and it carried APPROVED -J JOINT RESOLUTION TO PARTICIPATE INTHE MEDICAID FOR COUNTY INMATES Commissioner Carroll made a motion to approve RESOLUTION in the Medicaid for County Inmate Program. APROVEDPURCHASE OF MAINTENANCE TRUCK  Commissioner McKinnon made a motion to purchase for the Maintenance Department, a 2018 Ford 4x2 F-150 for $23,819.00. Commissioner Carroll seconded the motion, and all voted unanimously.    October 10, 2017  APPROVED- = ROAD & BRIDGE DUMP TRUCK  Commissioner McKinnon approved the purchase of a 2018 Kenworth Dump Truck for $141,171.00.  Commissioner Carroil seconded the motion, and it carried unanimously.  APPROVED = ROAD & BRIDGE DUMP TRUCKFINANCING  Commissioner McKinnon made a motion to finance the Road & Bridge dump truck, with CB&T, interest rate of 2.09%. Commissioner Wilson seconded the motion, and all voted unanimously.
