Dale County Commission Commission Meeting Minutes- February 13, 2018 The Dale County Commission convened in a regular session Tuesday, February 13, 2018. The following members were present: Chairman Mark Blankenship; District One Commissioner Chris Carroll; District Two Commissioner Steve McKinnon; District Three Commissioner Charles Chairman Blankenship called the meeting to order at 11:00 am. Commissioner McKinnon opened with the Pledge of Allegiance. Commissioner Wilson followed with prayer. W. Gary; and District Four Commissioner Frankie Wilson. APPROVED- - MINUTES - January 23, 2018 REGULAR: SESSION Commissioner McKinnon made a motion to approve the minutes of the CommissionerWison seconded the motion, all voted aye. Motion carried. SECTIONV CAREER ADVANCEMENT PART B PROMOTIONS No.3 Presently Reads: All promotions will involve an increase in pay. The amount of increase will be determined in accordance with the County classification and pay plans. Normally, aj promoted employee will be placed at the entry level ofthe pay grade for his/her newjob. However, all employees will receive at least a five (5) percent increase for each pay grade they advance over their existing pay at the time oft the promotion. Proposed change: All promotions will involve an increase in pay. The amount of increase will be determined in accordance with the County classification and pay plans. All employees will receive a maximum of five (5) percent increase for each pay grade they advance, plus any amount needed to reach the entry level pay of the new position. For example, an employee at Grade VII making $9.79 per hour promoted to a Grade IX will receive a ten (10) percent raise to $10.77 plus an additional $0.18 to meet the entry level pay amount ofS10.95. Ifafter the ten (10) percent increase, the pay would be above the entry pay of $10.95, for example $11.97, the amount ofS11.97 would be the new pay rate.
