January 23, 2018  The Dale County Commission convened in a regular session Tuesday, January 23, 2018. The following members were present: Mark Blankenship, Chairman; District One Commissioner Chris Carroll; District Two Commissioner Steve McKinnon; District Three Commissioner Charles W. Gary; and District Four Chairman Blankenship called the meeting to order at 11:00 am. Commissioner McKinnon opened with the  Commissioner Frankie Wilson.  Pledge of Allegiance. Commissioner Wilson followed with prayer.  APPROVED - MINUTES - January 09, 2018 REGULAR SESSION  Commissioner McKinnon made a motion to approve the minutes of the January 09, 2018 meeting.  Commissioner Wilson seconded the motion, all voted aye. Motion carried.  APPROVED - WEATHER DAYS  Commissioner Carroll made a motion to approve closing Dale County Government Buildings due to snow days January 17 - 18, 2018. Commissioner McKinnon seconded the motion, all voted aye. Motion carried.  APPROVED - TRAVEL REQUEST  Commissioner Carroll made a motion to approve the travel request of;  Road & Bridge Dept- Derek Brewer and Drew Mecham - February 26-28, 2018 - Alabama Vegetation Management Society Annual Meeting-Tuscalosa, Al. $730.00. Commissioner Frankie Wilson - Prattville, Al. - March 22 -23, 2018. ALGTI Community Commissioner Frankie Wilson - Prattville, Al. - February 15 - 16, 2018, Public Service & Civil Commission Office - Cheryl Ganey - Workshop - Prattville, Al. - January 24-25, 2018  Building $300.00. Engagement.  Commissioner McKinnon seconded the motion, all voted aye. Motion carried.  APPROVED - SEARP&DC BOARD APPOINTMENTS  Commissioner Carroll made a motion to reappoint;  Reappoint - Alternate SEARP&DC Board member, Dr. Diane Flournoy Appoint- - Commission Chairman Mark Blankenship - to replace Wes Etheridge Appoint - Daleville Mayor Jayme Stayton -1 to replace Claudia Wigglesworth Commissioner McKinnon seconded the motion, all voted aye. Motion carried. Appoint - Frankie Wilson - Place 1 Seat 2 - to replace Wes Strickland Commissioner McKinnon seconded the motion, all voted aye. Motion carried.  APPROVED - DALE COUNTY AG PLEX AUTHORITY BOARD APPOINTMENTS  Commissioner Carroll made a motion to Reappoint - Dr. Oretha Harper - Place 1 Seat 2    January 23, 2018  APPROVED = ROAD & BRIDGE RECOMMENDATION  Commissioner Wilson made a motion to approve the recommendation of Dale County Engineer Derek Brewer for Crushed Concrete, Johnston Trucking, LLC $18.00 per ton. Commissioner Gary seconded the  motion, all voted aye. Motion carried. APPROVED- -AGREEMENT- ROAD & BRIDGE seconded the motion, all voted aye. Motion carried. APPROVED- RESOLUTION #2018020901-ROAD. & BRIDGE Commissioner Gary seconded the motion, all voted aye. Motion carried.  Commissioner Wilson made a motion to approve the State and County Agreement of widening and the resurfacing of CR-16 from CR6 61 to Goldberg Stage Field. Length 1.96 miles. Commissioner Gary  Commissioner Wilson made a motion to approve signing the Resolution between County and State with Road and Bridge to widen and resurface CR 161 from CR61 to Goldberg Stage Field. Length 1.96 miles.  APPROVED - MEMORANDUM OF WARRANTS  Commissioner Carroll made a motion to approve the memorandum of warrants. (Payroll check number(s) 154441 - 154442, Payroll direct deposit numbers 26185- 26323, and Accounts Payable check numbers 78839-78976). Commissioner Gary seconded the motion, and it carried unanimously.  ANNOUNCEMENT - NEXT REGULAR MEETING  Chairman Blankenship announced that the next regular meeting of the Dale County Commission would be  Tuesday February 13, 2018 at 10:00a.m.  ADJOURNMENT: CONFIRMATORY STATEMENT  Commissioner Wilson made a motion to adjourn the meeting. Commissioner Gary seconded the motion.  All voted aye.
