BOOK 28 PAGE253  Barbour County Commission Meeting Special Meeting September 7, 2021 3:00 pm  SUSIE CVEÇHKO COMMISSION PRESIDENT, JAMIE CARPENTER COMMISSIONER (by phone), DAVID STRAIT COMMISSIONER (byphone), CONNIE KAUFMAN COUNTY CLERK, SHANAFREYCOUNTY  ADMINISTRATOR  Kim Lewis, Lauren Norman, Brett Carpenter, Dylan Harper  Susie Cvechko called the meeting to order at 3:10pm and led the pledge. Sheriff Carpenter and Chief Tax Deputy Lauren Norman presented the 2020 Delinquent tax list that became delinquent on April 1, 2021. On a motion by David Strait, seconded by Susie Cvechko, the 2020 delinquent tax list was approved as presented. 2/0 Sheriff Carpenter requested consent to hire Gunner Kennedy to fill a vacancy with a start date of September 16, 2021. On: a motion by Susie Cvechko, seconded by David Strait consent was Dylan Harper discussed additional information on the 911 radio system upgrade and service contract. The service contract will not be required until one year after the full year warrantyi is expired. He explained the service contract has two options and recommends option two, removing the infrastructure repair line item; however suggested depositing funds toi the Motorola Service Repair Bank program to be used toward future repairs. He pointed out this option is a $5,000/year cost savings during any year that the radios do not need repair. By utilizing the Motorola Service Repair program, the funds carry over year to year. Option two of the Motorola Service Contract is in the amount of $73,051.61. He described that approximately $40,000 of the service contract goes to the State of WV SIRN program for being a direct connect console. The total cost oft the Motorola 911 Radio system is $515,000.00.
