Commissioner Cvechko also mentioned that Barbour Community Health Association will hold a drive through "Let Hope Light the Way" event on October 20th at the approved. 3/0 Belington Medical Clinic. Doug Schiefelbein read the proclamation declaring October 4-8, 2021 as WVARSE/BCARSE week. He described the community: service projects and volunteerism that the Barbour County Association of Emily Taylor, AES Project Manager, discussed the Repower Plan at the Laurel Mountain Wind farm. This project will upgrade the blades, drivetrains and hubs to the turbines. The towers and foundations will not change. The Repower Plan will increase the blade length by up to 231 feet, extend the project life by 20 years and increase production by 25%+. Phase 1- site prep, is scheduled for March 2022; Phase 2- Deliveries, May 2022; Phase 3- installation, June-October 2022. Phase 4- Tammy Narog provided a Community Corrections update. She reported that the Recovery Coach grant has ended and the cost will now come from the local fund in Barbour and Taylor counties. She She discussed exterior maintenance needs and provided photos.
