BOOK 28 PAGE 320  Barbour County Commission Meeting Special Meeting March 10, 2022 4:00 pm  SUSIE CVECHKO COMMISSION PRESIDENT,JAMIE CARPENTER COMMISSIONER, DAVID: STRAIT COMMISSIONER, CONNIE KAUFMAN COUNTY CLERK, SHANAFREY COUNTY ADMINISTRATOR  Kim Lewis, Leonard Stewart  Susie Cvechko called the meeting to order at 4:00 pm and led the Pledge of Allegiance.  The commission meeting was also held via conference call.  County Clerk, Connie Kaufman, requested approval of an order to change the location of Precinct 12 from the Opportunity House (previously the Century Community Center) to the Allegheny Metallurgical Building (previously the Volga-Century School). On a motion by Susie Cvechko,  seconded by David Strait, this order was approved.  Leonard Stewart, representing the Barbour County Solid Waste Authority, was also in attendance and discussed the Barbour County Recycling Center. He explained that the Barbour County Recycling Center is no longer leased to Mr. Gum or affiliated with the Randolph County Recycling Center. He reported on clean-up efforts and site organization as well as added security measures. Discussion was held regarding staffing at the Recycling Center and ifa contribution from the commission could be possible. The Solid Waste Authority also plans to submit grant applications to various programs. The commission will consider the request and discuss further  at an upcoming meeting.
