BOOK 28 PAGE376  Barbour County Commission Meeting August 26, 2022 9:00am  SUSIE CVECHKO COMMISSION PRESIDENI,JAMIE CARPENTERC COMMISSIONER, CONNIE KAUFMAN  COUNTY CLERK, SHANA FREY COUNTY ADMINISTRATOR  Kim Lewis, Brett Carpenter, Dylan Harper, Lauren Norman, Thomas Hoxie, Corey Brandon, David Susie Cvechko called the meeting to order at 9:00am and led the pledge of allegiance. On a motion by. Jamie Carpenter, seconded by Susie Cvechko, meeting minutes from August 8,  Talbott  2022 and was approved. 2/0 Exonerations were presented. were approved. 2/0  On a motion by Susie Cvechko, seconded by. Jamie Carpenter, seventeen (17) final settlements BERNARD HAROLD EVERSON, AGATHA RUTH SCHOONOVER, KARL LEO STEVEN AMORUSO, WILLIAM THORTON THOMAS, KENNETH WILLIAM GUINN, SHARON M. GOLDEN, WAYNE LEE DAUGHERTY, BETTY LEE SMITH, JERRY ALLEN CUNNINGHAM, DELORES ANN FREEMAN, WILLIAM O.L LANTZ, DOROTHYH. WOLFE, MARY LOUISE KNOTTS, HERMAN JOSHUA PROUDFOOT,JR, TOMMY GEORGE KETCHUM, LEON D. CROSS, GLADYS EVELYN MCDANIEL  Invoices were presented.  David Talbott raised concerns regarding the Agatha Schoonover estate and presented Sheriff Carpenter and Chief Tax Deputy, Lauren Norman, presented the 2021-22 Sheriff Settlement for approval. Discussion was held. On a motion by. Jamie Carpenter,seconded by Susie Cvechko, the Sheriff Settlement was approved as presented.2/0 Dylan Harper presented an Incumbent Worker Training contract with Region VI Workforce. The IWT covers a portion of the cost for Continuing Education training required for telecommunication positions. On a motion by Susie Cvechko, seconded by. GST provided a computer quote that would be sufficient for daily operations, radio programming and future needs at a cost of $2,602.88. On a motion by Susie Cvechko, seconded by. Corey Brandon, OEM Director, reported that lights to the 185 Antenna Drive is out. He has an Dylan Harper and Corey Brandon requested permission to drive the 911 and OEM vehicles home. In the event of an emergency, this would reduce response time and eliminate extra travel time to the Comm Center. The Commission agreed. In the event of a staff change, this request The Thrasher Group: submitted a request for supplemental fees for the Courthouse Skylight replacement and roof repair project, not to exceed $8,000.00. Jamie Carpenter, Regular Session was resumed at Susie Cvechko entered into motion, pursuant toi the West Virginia First Memorandum of Understanding previously entered into by Barbour County Commission, to approve and accept the Distributors West Virginia Subdivisions Settlement Agreement and to authorize the President oft the County Commission, Susie Cvechko, to sign said Agreement in Case No. 21-C-9000, Kanawha County, West Virginia. Jamie Carpenter seconded the motion. 2/0  inspection scheduled to determine the cause.  would be reevaluated.  10:12am to discuss Opioid litigation. 2/0  10:50am. 2/0  Awork session is scheduled for September 6, 2022 at 5:30pm to discuss the second round of American Rescue Plan funding and the application process. No regular meeting will be held on September 6, 2022.
