STRAIT COMMISSIONER, CONNIE KAUFMAN COUNTY CLERK, SHANA FREY COUNTY ADMINISTRATOR Kim Lewis, Mike Hart, Dylan Harper, Jaden Marks, Travis Ryan, Zachary Hart, Phil Hart, Jedd Schola, Brenda Cain, Samantha George, Nancy Dotson, Corey Brandon, Laurie Austin Susie Cvechko called the meeting to order at 5:10pm and led the Pledge of Allegiance. One public hearing is scheduled in conjunction with the Regular Çommission meeting. Commissioner Cvechko called the public hearing to order. USDA has received an application for Federal Assistance from the Belington Volunteer Fire Department. The proposed project consists of the purchase of a side by side that willl be used fori firefighting and rescue operations. The purpose of this hearing is to provide information to the public regarding this project and to comment on the economic and environmental impacts, service area or alternatives toi the project. Representatives from Belington Fire Department was in attendance. The proposed USDA funding amount requested is $50,000. The USDA grant, if approved, would fund approximately, 35%- Ad current price quote was available from Elkins Motorsports in the amount of $54,737.00. It was stated that Belington Volunteer Fire Department plans to contribute $4,737.00 toward the project. $17,500. The remaining $32,500.00 would be local match. Aresolution to submit an application to the Land and Water Conservation Fund for Fairgrounds Park and athletic facility improvements was presented.
