STRAIT COMMISSIONER, CONNIE KAUFMAN COUNTY CLERK, SHANA FREY COUNTY ADMINISTRATOR Kim Lewis, Mike Hart, Dylan Harper, Jaden Marks, Travis Ryan, Zachary Hart, Phil Hart, Jedd Schola, Brenda Cain, Samantha George, Nancy Dotson, Corey Brandon, Laurie Austin Susie Cvechko called the meeting to order at 5:10pm and led the Pledge of Allegiance. One public hearing is scheduled in conjunction with the Regular Çommission meeting. Commissioner Cvechko called the public hearing to order. USDA has received an application for Federal Assistance from the Belington Volunteer Fire Department. The proposed project consists of the purchase of a side by side that willl be used fori firefighting and rescue operations. The purpose of this hearing is to provide information to the public regarding this project and to comment on the economic and environmental impacts, service area or alternatives toi the project. Representatives from Belington Fire Department was in attendance. The proposed USDA funding amount requested is $50,000. The USDA grant, if approved, would fund approximately, 35%- Ad current price quote was available from Elkins Motorsports in the amount of $54,737.00. It was stated that Belington Volunteer Fire Department plans to contribute $4,737.00 toward the project.  $17,500. The remaining $32,500.00 would be local match.  The meeting was opened for questions and comments.  Noi further questions were presented and the public meeting was closed at 5:20pm.  Onan motion by David Strait, seconded by. JAG- $18,750.00. The revision was  approved on a motion by Susie Cvechko, second by David Strait. 3/0  Nancy Dotson read a proclamation to declare November 2022 as National Hospice and Palliative Dylan Harper, 911 Director, presented a call type report and pointed out the impact of calls since He requested consent to hire Kayla Dean as ai full-time dispatcher with a 90 probationary period. On amotion by Susie Cvechko, seconded by David Strait, this request was approved. 3/0 Corey Brandon, OEM Director, reported on the Floodplain training he attended.  Carer month.  law enforcement began. 24-hour coverage.  Aresolution to submit an application to the Land and Water Conservation Fund for Fairgrounds Park and athletic facility improvements was presented. The project is a 50/50 grant and to not exceed a grant request of $50,000.00. On a motion by. Jamie Carpenter, seconded by Susie Cvechko, the Onamotion by David Strait, seconded by. JAG PRO grant contract was  resolution was passed. 3/0  approved and signed ini the amount of $18,750.00.3/0  Brownton Helping Hands submitted a request for $2,022.52 to complete their heating project in the Brownton Community Center gymnasium. Jamie Carpenter and seconded by David Strait, $2,500.00 was approved to the  Corridor H Authority. 3/0  Discussions were held regarding potential events at the Fairgrounds. The Park and Recreation board requested the County Commission's approval consideration for a gun show event. They are not Shana Frey discussed a conversation with Thomas Motor Sports and potentially having a Demo Derby during 4th ofJ July celebrations.
