On a motion by David Strait, seconded by Jedd Schola, the January 27, 2023 special meeting minutes and February 6, 2023 regular meeting minutes were approved. 3/0  Exonerations were presented.  Laurie Austin, County Clerk presented a request from Bartlett Funeral Home to appoint the Sheriff to the Margaret Robinson estate. On a motion by David Strait, seconded by. JEAN Melanie Koon read a proclamation declaring February as Teen Dating Violence and Prevention Thomas Hoxie submitted a letter of resignation to his elected position of Barbour County Prosecuting Attorney to serve as the next Circuit Judge for Barbour and Taylor counties effective February: 22, 2023 at 8:30am. David Strait made a motion to accept Mr. Hoxie's resignation, Jamie Carpenter made a motion to appoint Keith Skeen as the temporary Barbour County Prosecuting Attorney, effective on February 22, 2023 at 8:30am for upi to 30 days, David Strait Shana Frey provided an update on the Dough Boy memorial project. The asking price for the property was $360,000.00. Negotiations concluded with the final price of $340,000 and includes select office furniture and gym equipment.
