The amendment is to update fees imposed on local exchange service lines to finance the projected costs of capital improvement and maintenance costs of the Enhanced Emergency Telephone System and associated Emergency Dispatch Equipment Residential from $3.15 to $3.64; Business from $4.001 to $4.25; Centrix from $0.25 to $0.50. To rectify the missing order, he presented a confirmatory order affirming, approving and re-approving the City of Philippi's 1995 Annexation by minor boundary sewer adjustments of certain tracts or parcels of land located on the Airport Access Road in Philippi District, Barbour County, WV, Broaddus Knolls Phase I, Tract 1, 18.26 acres, Tract 2, 1.49 acres; and Tract 3, 1.48 acres. As a result, he requested the consideration to authorize the execution ofa a Quitclaim Deed remising and releasing all interest obtained in that certain Right of Entry Order, as Ordered by the Circuit Clerk of Barbour County, West Virginia, in Civil Action No. 22-C-20. Representation from Barbour County EMS and Belington EMS were in attendance. Adequate staffing and response were discussed. The Commission explained they have a duty to maintain adequate ambulance coverage within Barbour County and the current trend proves lacking in various aspects. They are evaluating numerous possibilities and will make decisions for improvement cautiously and Adjusting paging alerts have improved response time in most situations. It was requested to consider utilizing the "Active 911" app in the ambulance agencies to alert response in real-time. Dylan Harper is to provide additional details at the next commission meeting. Chief Deputy Roy reported the three new cruisers have been delivered and are waiting for radios. He plans to purchase three additional Insync license to make their reporting process more efficient.
