Spencer, Corey Brandon, Chasity McGill, Rick Halmuth, Rob Kimble, Robert S. Swanson, TJ Carlucci, Jamie Carpenter called the meeting to order at 9:00am and led the Pledge of Allegiance. One public hearing is scheduled in conjunction with the Regular Commission meeting. Commissioner Carpenter called the public hearing to order. USDA has received an application for Federal Assistance from the Barbour County Commission. The proposed project consists oft the purchase of a police cruiser for the Barbour County Sheriff's Department. The purpose of this hearingi is to provide information to the publicregarding this project and to comment on the economic and environmental impacts, service area or alternatives to the project. The project totali is $73,332.00. The proposed USDA funding amount requested is $11,000. The USDA grant, ifa approved, would fund approximately 15% of the project. JACKSON Commissioner Carpenter read the resolution to form a Barbour County Ambulance Authority in accordance to WV Code 7-15-4. On a motion by. Jamie Carpenter, seconded by David Strait, a 2015 Tahoe with 67,000 miles and fully equipped was approved from Signal S Fire A1 temporary pay scale was discussed for EMS: staff. Jedd Schola, the following pay scale will be effective March 24, 2024 at 12:01am. 3/0 Apparatus ini the amount of $30,000, 3/0 Driver- $14.00, EMI-SI600,AEMI-SIB0O Medic- $20.00 the following was approved for poll workers 3/0; Training and work election day: $225.00 Poll worker compensation was discussed. On a motion by Jamie Carpenter, seconded by David Strait, Training, work election day, additional e-poll book training- $235.00 Training, work election day, picking up/returning supplies- $245.00 Training, work election day, return of supplies- $240.00 Training only- $35.00 A list of Republican and Democratic poll workers was presented for approval. It was noted the Republican party provided their recommendations and the Elections Clerk created a Democratic list int the absence of an active committee. On a motion by. Ona motion by. Jamie Carpenter, seconded by David Strait, New Portal Road and Gob Hill Road was Commissioner Schola discussed internet service at Barbour County Fairgrounds. The Fair board voted in favor of paying $3,030.00 of the $4,755.00 equipment cost. On a motion by. Jedd Schola, seconded by David Strait, a contribution will be made to the Fair board for the remaining $1,725.00. On a motion by. Jamie Carpenter, seconded by. Jedd Schola, the Department of Agriculture Spay and Neuter grant award of $5,000 was accepted. $75.00 off vouchers will be provided under this approved.
