June 14, Upon roll call the following were. found to be present: Mayor Ray Nelson, Councilmembers Lindal McCraw, Eddy Campbell, Jason Cowart, and Cedric Wilson. Also present were City Attorney Dale Lawrence and Assistant Fire Chief Casey Black. Councilmember Jerry Nichols was absent. INTERVIEW OF FIRE CHIEF APPLICANTS  1.N Mr. Shannon Taylor Brookwood, Alabama  The first applicant interviewed was Mr. Shannon Taylor. Mr. Taylor retired from the City of Tuscaloosa Fire Department in August of 2015 after approximately 20 years of service. He worked at Northport Fire & Rescue from June of 2015 until February of 2016. He is currently the Fire Chief at Green Pond] Fire & Rescue in Woodstock, Alabama. He isa veteran of the United States Marine Corps. As indicated in the letter attached to his resume, his current status is that ofal lieutenant. He works at the Toyota plant fire station responding to emergencies, providing training, performing rescue standbys, and providing inspections regarding equipment, safety issues and suppression systems. He said he would be willing tor relocate tol Fayette. Upon the motion being seconded by Councilmember Cowart moved the Council come out of executive session.
