FAYETTE MEDICALCENTER Mr. Jeff Huff, Interim Administrator of Fayette Medical Center along with Mr. Paul Betts, Chief Operating Officer of DCH, Ms. Mary Ann Harton, Assistant Administrator of Fayette Medical Center, Ms. Michelle Robertson, Director of the Nursing Home and Hospital Board members Mrs. Jackie Mr. Jeff Huff and Mr. Paul Betts spoke to the Council concerning Fayette Medical Center. Both Mr. Huff reported for 2019-2020, there are $2,000,000.00 in capital improvements planned for the Fayette Medical Center. He said these improvements would not be possible without the City's Waldon, Mr. Owen Sweatt and Mrs. Sandy Nolen, appeared before the Council. He said part of this ist to be blamed on the State's stance on the Affordable Care Act. He said there are decisions that can be made at the State and Federal level that would take the burden off of city councils and county commissions in rural areas that are having to develop plans to try and keep Probate Judge William Oswalt spoke and said he is thankful that he lives in a community where there is a consensus on the importance of healthcare and the importance of having a local hospital. He stated the community needs to continue to be proactive. He thanked the Council for their courage in Mrs. Jackie Waldon thanked the Council for their support of the hospital.
