REBUILD ALABAMA ACT FY23 Transportation Plan Report City of Enterprise, Alabama January 2, 2024 The Rebuild Alabama Act passed by the Alabama Legislature in 2019 provided for new gas taxes to be implemented within the State and the additional funds distributed among the State, Counties and Cities by various means. As a part of that Act, each municipality must adopt an annual Transportation Plan no later than August 31 for the next fiscal year. The plan shall provide a detailed list of projects for which expenditures are intended to be made in the next fiscal year from the new funds. Ina addition, the Act requires that at the first meeting in January of each year, a written report detailing expenditures made from the new gas tax fund during the previous fiscal year shall be given to the City Council. The report shall include the status of each project included in the previous year's Transportation Plan. The report shall be entered into the minutes of the City Council meeting and be made available to the public for inspection, including posting on the municipality's website. The FY23 Transportation Plan was approved by the Council in August 2022 and is the subject of this report. Attached is a copy of the subject plan.
