The Enterprise City Council convened in Work Session at 5:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 5, 2024, at the PRESENT: Council President Turner' Townsend, District #5 Council President Pro-Tem Sonya W. Rich, District #1 Council Member Eugene Goolsby, District #2 Council Member Greg Padgett, District #3 Council Member Scotty Johnson, District #4 Mayor William E. Cooper City Administrator Jonathan Tullos Consulting Engineer Glenn Morgan City Department! Heads Danny Long, ESCC Mike Williams, USDA Wildlife Services ALSOPRESENT: City Clerk Beverly Sweeney was present and kept the minutes. ROLL CALL- Council President Townsend noted that all Council Members were present. O1GOALSI UPDATE City Administrator Jonathan Tullos reported on the status oft the 2024 Q1 goals, including completed items and at timeline for unfinished items. ALM VOTING DELEGATE City Administrator Jonathan Tullos reminded the Council that the city must designate a voting delegate on or before April 30, 2024, to be eligible to vote during the May 17, 2024, Annual Business Meeting of thel League ofMunicipalities. Council Members and Mayor Cooper will check their availability and a designee will bes selected before the April deadline. SCHOOLI BOARD APPOINTMENT Council Members were informed of an upcoming appointment to the Enterprise City School Board. Council Member. Johnson will provide a nominee for consideration at the first meeting in April. City Administrator Jonathan Tullos reported that the Industrial Development Board submitted a Site Evaluation Economic Development Strategy (SEEDS) )application to the State Industrial Development Authority (SIDA) and has been awarded funding of $5,724,001.24. Per Resolution 12-13-23, the city will SEEDS GRANT provide funds of approximately $2,857,909.761 to cover the required match. ESCCUPDATE Enterprise State Community College President Danny Long provided an overview oft the college's programs, activities, enrollment, and future Workforce Development Training Center. REVIEW OF AGENDA Council President Townsend requested a review oft thel March 5, 2024 Council Meeting agenda. Following review and discussion, Council Members requested no additions, deletions, or changes.
