CITY COUNCIL WORK SESSION MINUTES OF MAY7.2024 The Enterprise City Council convened in Work Session at 5:00 p.m., Tuesday, May 7,2024, at Enterprise Civic Center. PRESENT: Council President Turner Townsend, District #5 Council President Pro-Tem Sonya W. Rich, District #1 Council Member Eugene Goolsby, District #2 Council Member Greg Padgett, District #3 Council Member Scotty Johnson, District #4 Mayor William E. Cooper City Administrator Jonathan Tullos City Attorney Ashley Marshall Consulting Engineer Glenn Morgan City Department Heads ALSO PRESENT: City Clerk Beverly Sweeney was present and kept the minutes. ROLL CALL- Council President Townsend noted that all Council Members were present. 02GOALSI UPDATE City Administrator Jonathan Tullos reported on the status oft the 2024 Q2 goals, including completed items and at timeline for unfinished items. CSPIRE BROADCAST Jeremy Nagy, M4 Technology, announced that C Spire willl broadcast the City Council Work Session and Council Meetings on Channel 2 and run the live stream on the city's YouTube channel. Ifa another program takes priority, the broadcast will be available on C Spire Channel 17. The Work Session and Council Meeting will rerun on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday starting at 5:00 p.m. and other times, as programming allows. REVIEW OF AGENDA Council President Townsend requested ai review oft the May 7, 2024 Council Meeting agenda. Following review and discussion, Council Members requested no additions, deletions, or changes. 2023 MWPP REPORTS Consulting Engineer Glenn Morgan updated the Council on the annual Municipal Wastewater Pollution Prevention (MWPP) reports. Mr. Morgan reported that the College Street WWTP and Northeast WWTP had accumulated 22 age points each for the 2023 reporting period, which is an excellent score. Both plants were upgraded in 2012 and have aj projected lifespan of20 years, and they continue to operate well within their design parameters. He commended the city's efforts over recent years to enhance the overall condition oft the sewer system, noting the significant reduction in SSO's (Sanitary Sewer Overflow). In 2011,29 SSO's were reported in the collection system, with only one reported in 2023. He also commended the hard work Clay Fleming and his staff put in in managing the operation of both plants and the associated collection system.
