REPORT  MINUTES OF THE COMPLETE STREETS AND' TRANSPORTATION COMMISSION  REGULAR MEETING June 13,2024  The Complete Streets and Transportation Commission of the Town of Los Gatos conducted its  Regular Meeting on Thursday, June 13, 2024, at 7:30 a.m. MEETING CALLED TO ORDER AT 7:30 A.M.  ROLL CALL Thompson (Remote). CONSENTI ITEMS  Present: Chair Alice Miano, Vice Chair Jeff Suzuki, Commissioners Bill Ehlers, Erik Miller and Jeff  Absent: Youth Commissioner Rushil Sharma.  1. Approve Complete Streets & Transportation Commission Minutes of May 9, 2024. MOTION: Motion by' Vice Chair Suzuki to approve Consent Item 1.  Seconded by Commissioner Ehlers. VOTE: Motion passed 5 ayes; 1 absent.  OTHER BUSINESS No new report.  2. Youth Commissioner Report- - Rushil Sharma (Verbal Report)  3. Review and Discuss Town Council Policy! 5-03 Commission Budgets (Attached) Director Burnham gave background information on this item. Commission discussed. 4. Review and Discuss Laws and Regulations for Parkingi in Bike Lanes and Cycling through Town Engineer Heap and Senior Traffic Engineer Vroman verbally reported on this item.  Construction Zones  Commission discussed this item.  5. Bike Valet Upcoming Events (Verbal Commission Discussion)  Director Burnham verbally inquired ift the Commission wanted to volunteer for the 4th of July event, 10:30 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. Commission discussed this item. Commissioners Miller 6. Consider Advising Town Council to Publicly Endorse VTA's Light Rail to Los Gatos MOTION: Motion by' Vice-Chair Suzuki to recommend that the Town Council publicly  and Ehlers volunteered to assist. Commission discussed this item. Seconded by Commissioner Miller.  endorse the VTA's acquisition oft the Union Pacific Line.  VOTE: Motion passed unanimously. Consider Additional Ad Hoc Committees (Verbal Commission Discussion)  Commission verbally discussed this item.  MOTION: Motion by Commissioner Thompson to establish al Bike and Pedestrian Ad Hoc Committee to review the Bike and Pedestrian Master Plan and recommend future projectsto  staff.  Seconded by Commissioner Miller.  VOTE: Motion passed unanimously. (1 absent - Youth Commissioner) Volunteers for this Ad Hoc: Commissioners Thompson and Miller  9. Quarterly Report from Los Gatos-Monte Sereno Police Department (Verbal Report) Sgt. Kauweloa provided a verbal update on this item. The Commission discussed and  expressed their gratitude to Sgt. Kauweloa for all his hard work.  10. PPW Department Report  a. Capital Project Status Updates (Verbal Report)  Director Burnham and Town Engineer Heap verbally reported on the following: -Grant Applications: Federal Safe Streets for All and Active Transportation Program  -Trail Connector Project -Wayfinding Project -Repaving and Curb Gutter Project -Los Gatos Lodge Project Commission verbally discussed these items. b. Future Agenda Items (Attachment) Recommendation: Receive update and provide information Director Burnham verbally reported ont this item.  -Shannon Road Pedestrian and Bikeways Improvement Project  COMMISSIONER REPORTS  Commissioner Miller verbally reported on the VTAI BPACr meeting. Chair Miano reported on the C.A.C. meeting.
