MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE ECLECTIC TOWN COUNCIL TOWN OF ECLECTIC, ALABAMA ECLECTIC MUNICIPAL COURT ROOM September 18th, 2023 @ 7:00 P.M. At the regular meeting of the Eclectic Town Council held on September 18th, 2023 at 7:00 p.m. ini the Eclectic Municipal Court Room, persons present included, Maggin Edwards, Shannon Duck, Mayor Davenport, Linda Reed, David Goodwin, and Easterling Carpenter. Proceedings were aired live on Facebook. Mayor Gary Davenport called the meeting to order: 7:00 p.m. Invocation was then given by Mayor Gary Davenport. The consent agenda consist oft the following: Financial reports for August 2023 Overtime Reports Minutes of the August 21st, 2023 Regular Council Meeting Minutes of the Special Called Meeting August 28th, 2023 Minutes of the Special Called Meeting September 11h, 2023 Mayor began the first reading of Ordinance 2023-08-001 regarding a parking fine Mayor Davenport read for the second reading, Amendment 2023-09-001- regarding the sewer only fees associated with the Madix subdivision. AI motion was made by Councilor Goodwin to adopt Amendment 203-09-001 and was seconded by Pro-Tem Reed. (3y yea, 2 absent). Motion passes. Old Business: Mayor thanked all who participated in the Panther Palace dedication and Gardner Cameron Eagle Scout project dedication. Council will re- convene and buy extra equipment fort the park when the grant project is completes Mayor also announced the issuance of building permits and DOT permits for the upcoming Jacks restaurant. Ground breaking should occur before the end of the Mayors Comments: Mayor asked that citizens fill out the Quality of Life survey on the web page andi facebook. This survey willl help the school board and county be informed oni the citizen desires of each community and ARPA $ will be given to thel highest need. There are approximately 40 days remaining to complete this. Only one form per person should be submitted. Mayor also announced that the Water Works tank service was taking place this week and would lead to water pressure being compromised in Town limits. Water would be diverted from other tanks to eliminate any loss of water. The state with the remaining fund balance. year. requires these tanks to be serviced.
