FINANCE COMMITTEE  Councilwoman Phillips said the minutes from the February 19th meeting were in the packet. She gave the Treasurer's Report for. CODE ENFORCEMENT/ORDINANCE COMMITTEE  Councilman Scott said the Committee met earlier and discussed solid waste and fees. He said the next meeting Councilwoman Conaway was absent. Council President Olen said the next meeting is April Ista at 5:15pm.  is April 1sat 4:30pm. E. PUBLIC WORKS COMMITTEE  5. Industrial Development Board  Councilman Scott said the next meeting is March 19th at 4:30pm. Councilman Goodlin said the next meeting is March 14th at 4:30pm. Councilman Olen said the next meeting is March 28th at 5:00pm. Councilman Hughes said the next meeting is April 10th at 6:00pm. Councilman Coleman said the next meeting is March 27th at 5:00pm.  E. Public Participation closed at 6:08pm.  7.  MAYOR'S! REPORT:  Mayor LeJeune spoke on the recent Black History Month Celebration at the Senior Center and thanked those involved. He said the SEEDS Crawfish Boil is Saturday evening and the Lupus Walk is March 161h. He  introduced the new. Library Director, Emmie Powell. CITY ATTORNEY REPORT: City Attorney said there was no report. DEPARTMENT HEAD COMMENTS: from the Police Academy on April3nd.  8. 9.  Chief Gulsby, Police, said the Police Dept team is competing at BBQ and Blues in Foley. He mentioned the Special Olympics Torch Runi is March 15th, new officers arel being sworn in March 28h and officers will graduate ChiefTacon, Fire, shared the Fire Department completed their wellness scans. She mentioned a house fire in Ange Baggett, Marketing, updated the Council on recent events at the Civic Center. She mentioned upcoming  Lake Forest and said the County wide burn ban has been lifted.  events for the City include Arbor Day, Keep Daphne Beautiful and the Easter Egg Dash. Emmie Powell, Library, shared about recent and upcoming events at the Library. Ben Davis, Recreation, shared about recent sport tournaments as well as spring teams starting.  Adrienne Jones, Planning, shared that there will be multiple pre-zone and annexation requests over the next few months as well as Land Use and Development amendments. She mentioned the Council should bel hearing about  Envision Daphne.    March 4, 2024 CITY COUNCIL MEETING REGULAR BUSINESS MEETING 1705 MAIN STREET DAPHNE, AL 6:00P.M.  Troy Strunk, City Development, shared the City recently received a grant for $90,000 and commended Jesi City Clerk said the March Junior City Council meeting date will be changed and aj public notice sent out. MOTION by Councilman Hughes to approve the 040 - Retail Beer (On or Offi Premises) to Chipotle Mexican Grill of Colorado LLCI located at 914 Van Avenue, Daphne, Alabama. Seconded by  Ward, Environmental Programs Manager, on her work with the grant.  10. CITY CLERK'S REPORT:  Councilman Coleman. MOTION CARRIED UNANIMOUSLY.  MOTION by Councilwoman Phillips to approve the publication and set a public hearing on April 15, 2024 for the Estate of Georgianne Simms Pre-Zoning Amendment located Northeast of County Road 64  and Alabama Highway 181. Seconded by Councilman Scott. MOTION CARRIED UNANIMOUSLY.  MOTION by Councilman Scott to approve the publication and set a public hearing on April 15,2024 for thel Estate of Georgianne Simms Annexation Petition located Northeast of County Road 64 and  Alabama Highway 181. COUNCIL COMMETS:  Councilman Scott spoke highly oft the renovations and new Bayfront Park. He thanked staff and Councilman Councilwoman Phillips welcomed new Library Director, Emmie Powell. She passed onl kudos for the turfa at the  Coleman for all their work on the project.  Sports Complex.  Mayor LeJeune reminded everyone about the upcoming primary election.  Council President Olen gave a report on the Beautification Committee and echoed Councilwoman Phillips'  comments about the Sports Complex.  15.
