Pettway City Clerk Jerry" Taylor Chiefof Police AGENDA FOR THE CITY OF CREOLA COUNCIL MEETING HELD AT CREOLA CITY HALL ON April 26, 2012 @ 7:00PM Mayor called the meeting to order. Councilman Ivy gave invocation Upon the call ofr roll, the following were found to be present: MayorNelson Councilman R. Walker Councilman K. Walker Councilman Ivy Councilman Moss Councilman Howell absent City clerk and city attorney was present. Minutes from the council meeting held April 12, 2012 were presented. Councilman Moss made ai motion to accept the minutes from the previous meeting. Councilman Moss seconded, all favored, none opposed, motion carried. CITIZENS. ADDRESSING THE COUNCIL Mayor asked Mrs. Rebecca Smith to give an update on the schools issue from Monday's Satsuma school board meeting. Mrs. Smith states that they voted on an interim superintendent, there is a May 11 deadline for registration forms to be turned in for nonresidents; some services are not going to be offered like for special needs. Satsuma has 3 school systems to be ready by Mr. Tim Ryals states in the Citronelle Call paper the city will receive bill from Lemoyne water for moving line's on Bell and the County states they are not paying for it. City attorney Mark Erwin states that the city is the only responsibility under the franchise the City of Creola can incur for moving the water lines for Lemoyne would bei ifiti isi in the corporate jurisdiction. August 1,2012. There was a general discussion about the school issue. Mr. Crisswell states what about the lines that were improperly installed without consulting the city. Mayor states that this was 15 or SO years ago and back then the city did not have an inspector, but now the city does and things are inspected. Mayor states that a resolution was passed to prevent digging without contacting city first. RESOLUTIONS, ORDINANCES OTHER BUSINESS Mayor states that Mr. Erwin has been with the city for 12 plus years has resigned and he will be missed. No business PLANNING COMMITTEE Rev. Chambers states that a meeting is planned for May 15, 2012. Mrs. Green states that Mr. Skinner wants to continue business in the city but he has to come before the board first. ZONING BOARD OF ADJUSTMENTS Mr. Crisswell states that the utility board had a meeting 4/26/12 with Mr. John McDonald with Integra Water and basically everything is running and most businesses are tied in. Councilman Moss seconded, all favored, none opposed, motion carried. Mayor states he has rode around the city with. Alabama Power and has a list of where street lights are needed. Mayor states they will talk about it at the next meeting. Councilman Moss states that the ice machine at the senior building has stopped working. Councilman Howell made a motion to buy ice machine for senior building with the City paying half and the center pays half. FINANCE No business Councilman K. Walker states if ditchès are not cut out before paving the streets the property owner will have ai mess with water in yard and the septic tanks start messing up. Mayor also stated that Commissioner Ludgood says that Ducey is a private road. Adjournment Councilman Moss made a motion to adjourn the meeting. Councilman K.
