Walker Councilman K. Walker Councilman Ivy absent absent City clerk was present and City attorney was absent Minutes from the council meeting held March 22, 2012 were presented. Councilman Ivy made a motion to accept the minutes from the previous meeting. Councilman Moss seconded, all favored, none opposed, motion carried. CITIZENS. ADDRESSING THE COUNCIL No business RESOLUTIONS, ORDINANCES OTHER BUSINESS ALDOT Resolution was presented. Councilman Howell made a motion to accept the ALDOT resolution as presented. STREETS No business ADDITIONAL NOTES Mayor announced Louisiana Cuisine opening soon and the Laundromat opening soon. The property owner of the lot between Shell Station and Chevron. will be speaking with Whataburger and hotel to be built on Hwy 43 in the near future.. Mayor read resignation of City attorney Mark Erwin. Councilman Howell made aj motion to accept resignation ofMr. Erwin. Councilman Moss second, all: favored, non-opposed, motion carried. Mark Erwin will recommend replacement. Council had general discussion about the ditches. Council threw around some options and asked Mayor requested that the council consider entering into another bond agreement in order to pave remaining streets in Creola. Several citizens were present from the areas to be paved in support ofthisidea. Mayor stated that there are 6 years left on current bond that was obtained in 1998, if the city desires to enter into another agreement, the payments will remain in the same general range but of course the time will be extended. Council to continue to discuss at future meetings Citizens from Brown Road and Oak Tree expressed desire to see these roads paved, also stated fors suggestions. until a decision is made. that ditches were needed in many areas. Citizens discussed complaints and current problems with the road being unpaved. Citizens asked about the procedure for dogs not on leashes or allowed to run loose while owners are away from home. Chief Taylor explained procedure of the citizen calling the Police Dept Mayor gave brief update about the school system situation. General discussion and concern was expressed.
