Councilman Howell gave invocation. Upon the call ofroll, the following were found to be present: Mayor Nelson Councilwoman Greene Councilman Heathcoe Councilman Ivy Councilman Moss Councilman Howell City Clerk was present. Minutes from the council meeting held on November 13, 2012. Councilman Ivy made a motion to accept the minutes from the last meeting held. Councilman Moss seconded, all favored, none opposed, motion carried. CITIZENS. ADDRESSING THE COUNCIL Mayor states that the city website and Facebook is up and running Mayor states that Quinnellly Dr, Crisswell and Gurthrie Rd project will be open for bids by the Mayor states that the Community Development Block grant (CDBG) money for stripping should Mayor states that U-verse cable and high speed internet should be coming to Halls Branch side Mayor states that 2013 CDBG application with two request were turned in. Councilwoman Greene states that at the Christmas dinner ChiefTaylor recognized some of the officer S as follows: Officer Ken Thomas removed 3 men from burning vehicle and Jailer/dispatcher Brown and Officer Ric Daves for dedication to the department. Councilwoman Green states that a fire program that keeps up with training and reports, equipment for the department is up for renewal for $1740.00 and Chief Reeves keeps it up. Councilman Ivy made a motion for fire programs renewal for the amount of $1740.00. Councilman Moss second, all favored, none opposed. STREETS Councilman Heathcoe states that everything is looking good. Councilman Moss asked about bids on the roof. Mayor states to get more bids. Mayor and council have general conversation about grants and road paving. Councilwoman Greene states that she went to an ALDOT meeting and the Jackson Rd project Councilman Howell states he has been trying to set up a meeting to talk about the service the city is getting about garbage pickup. Councilman Howell asked Kim to try to set up a meeting. Councilman Moss made a motion to cancel 2nd council meeting for December scheduled has been extended to year 2016.
