Minutes from the council meeting held on, June 26, 2014 were presented. Councilwoman Howell seconded, all favored, none opposed, motion carried. Councilman Heathcoe made a motion to accept the minutes from the last meeting with the change on page 2 ofRev. Chamber's name. CITIZENSADDRESSINGTHE COUNCIL Mrs. Becky Smith asked about flags for median. Councilwoman Greene states that the Creola Community Development group is working with Charles Perry for that project already. RESOLUTIONS, ORDINANCES OTHER BUSINESS Kim explained tar sands, according to the AG opinion, the city can pass the resolution showing that they city as a whole does not support the Tar Sands, but understand that the city cannot stop or regulate Tar Sands. Mayor states he will be able to help. orchestrate the entire project. COMMUNITY GROUP Total amount in CCDG fund is $2041.54. POLICE AND FIRE Councilman Ivy made a motion to pay $1,117.00 to: repair truck fire truck. Councilman Howell seconded, all favored, none opposed, motion carried. A citizen asked can we start collecting money on the water bill to start a full time Fire Dept. There was general discussion about this subject. Citizens also asked ift the city could be notified in advance of meetings and upcoming decisions of the city. Mayor stated that the meetings are every 2nd and 4th Thursday, same time each time and that there are notices posted, as required in 3 public places and it has been that way for over 20 years. She asked if the mayor would have meetings to sit down with the citizens and council and make an effort to work on the Tim Ryals asked if the inspector could look into abandoned homes.
