Upon the call ofroll, the following were found to be present: Pledge of Allegiance Mayor Neison Councilwoman Greene Councilman Heathcoe Councilwoman Moss Councilman Howell Councilman Ivy was absent. Attorney Johnny Lane and city clerk were present. for meeting that was scheduled for. July 24, 2014. Minutes from the council meeting held on, July 10, 014 were presented. There was no quorum Councilman Howell made a motion to accept the minutes from the meeting held on July 10 2014.. Councilman Heathcoe seconded, all favored, none opposed, motion carried. CITIZENS, ADDRESSING THE COUNCIL None RESOLUTIONS, ORDINANCES OTHER BUSINESS Councilwoman Moss seconded, all favored, motion carried. Motion was made by Councilwoman Greene to accept the "Tar Sands Resolution". Councilwoman Greene asked about placing a dedication ofI Ducey Road on record with specifics of what the city will be responsible for, Attorney Johnny Lane states that he will lookit over and bring back to next meeting. PLANNING COMMITTEE immediately after. There will be a workshop on August 19, 2014 at 5:30 and the regular meeting will be at 6:00 Terry Weeks has an application on file and it will come before the board on August 28, 2014 immediately following the council meeting. ZONING BOARD OF4 ADJUSTMENTS No business CREOLA COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT GROUP activity in the park immediately afterwards from. Date has been set for the Christmas Parade, it will be November 22, 2014 with a full day of Cub scouts Troop 32 will resume meeting at the SAIL center on Tuesday, August 19 at 6pm. PARKS AND RECREATION No business UTILITIES AND SENIOR CITIZEN Councilwoman Moss presented the council with a list of rules and regulations for them to look over and bring back suggestions to the next meeting; she will put a copy in each box prior to next meeting after changes are made in order to vote on them. A piano was donated by Clay Pike, wants ai thank you letter sent out. Councilwoman Moss gave financial report for SAIL center, the balance is $5,864.51. The floors need to be done. FINANCE Councilman Howell made ai motion to accept the financial report. Councilwoman Moss seconded, all favored, none opposed, motion carried. COMMUNITY GROUP Got City Flags in., POLICE AND FIRE get it on the road soon. Chief Reeves said the FD has taken possession of the 1982 fire truck from Shell Chemical, he stated that it is in immaculate condition and the FD is anxious to paint it and do some testing and Chief Reeves said he would like to poll the council to see if it was necessary to draw up the mutual aid agreement with Saraland. Citizens asked how it would benefit the city and he stated it would benefit Saraland more SO than Creola. He stated that we have an automatic aid, but ift they have signed mutual aid, it will lower their ISO and it could lower Creola's as well.
