Upon the call ofroll, the following were found to bej present: Pledge of Allegiance Mayor Nelson Councilwoman Greene Councilman Heathcoe Councilwoman Moss Councilman Howell Councilman Ivy was. here but left due to the heat of A/c being out. Attorney Johnny Lane was present Christie filled in for city clerk. Minutes from the council meeting held on, August 14 were presented. Councilman Howell made a motion to accept the minutes from the meeting held on August 28, 2014. Councilwoman Moss seconded, all favored, none opposed, motion carried. CITIZENS ADDRESSING THE COUNCIL Mr. Wayne Biggs spoke about running for House District 98. Mr. Wayne Fisher asked what the status was for his drive way. Mayor states he has no information but he will check into it. RESOLUTIONS, ORDINANCES OTHER BUSINESS No Business PLANNING COMMITTEE Councilwoman Greene states Regular Meeting will be held on September 16 with workshop at 5:30. No business No business No business ZONING BOARD OF ADJUSTMENTS CREOLA COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT GROUP PARKS AND RECREATION UTILITIES AND SENIOR CITIZEN Councilwoman Moss states that everything is fine and the floors will be done next Tuesday. FINANCE Finance report will be presented at next meeting. COMMUNITY GROUP No business POLICE AND FIRE No business up. STREETS No business Mayor states that they will talk about the Mount Vernon dispatcher issue once a contract is wrote ADDITIONAL NOTES capacitor for the amount of$500.00. Councilman Howell made motion to fix the City Hall A/C unit with a used compressor and Councilwoman Moss second, all favored, none opposed, motion carried. Councilman Howell stated that if anyone contacts about the Eagle Scout project at the park to please call him sO he can help with the lay out oft the park with the disk Golf. Councilwoman Greene asked about making a donation to the eagle scouts park project. Councilman Howell states that he does not have a problem with that but to wait until all donations have come ini to see how much they need and the project cost. Councilman Howell states that Bobby is stretched out and if someone contacts the other council members to have something in the park to let him or the mayor know sO they can get with Mayor states they will discuss at a later date about leasing Golf carts and paying police officer to Bobby. work that day.
