Councilman Howell made a motion to accept the minutes from the meeting on 10/23/2014. Councilman Ivy seconded, all favored, none opposed, motion carried. CITIZENS ADDRESSING THE COUNCIL Mark from call news was introduced by the mayor; he asked that anyone who spoke state their names clearly sO that he can take notes. Peggy Wilson, states that her niece, Shay is a 26 year old that was diagnosed with breast cancer on November 22, 2014 and asked about having a road block to raise money for expenses outside ofinsurance coverage. Councilman Howell made ai motion to approve a road block. Councilwoman Green second, all favored, none opposed, motion carried. Mr. Walker from Brown Rd was present; Mayor explained that they chose to resurface Radcliffe 5.4 miles and resurface Hardy Rd, needed 560 k total for Creola- will resubmit next qualifying time. RESOLUTIONS, ORDINANCES OTHER BUSINESS Mrs. Susan Jett wants to come into Creola by annexation of] her residential property, before it is brought back they will make sure its contiguous- post in 3 places- legally it has to be contiguous to property already in the city limits. PLANNING COMMITTEE Rev. Bill Chambers states the committee is still working on' updates and corrections for the book- should have new book for review by December 11, 2014, meeting on 3rd Tuesday each month. Councilman Howell said about 2k people at park. Councilwoman Green said 977 but it could be ZONING BOARD OF ADJUSTMENTS the overall total was over 2000 people and 977 could be representing this area. Councilman Ivy states to take 1St Saturday in November off calendar for any other event to avoid Chief, constable- bobby and police department did an awesome job. Mayor said check into disc golf and obtaining more land, 100ft running N-S at park. Councilman Howell will contact Eagle overbooking. Scout and see ift the disc golfand project go in for free. UTILITIES AND SENIOR CITIZEN Councilwoman Moss states November 20, 2014 the seniors will have thanksgiving dinner at SAIL center. FINANCE Councilwoman Greene made a motion to accept the financial report. Councilman Ivy seconded, all favored, none opposed, motion carried. Councilman Howell made a motion toj pay the bills that were presented. Councilwoman Moss seconded, all favored, motion carried. POLICE AND FIRE Chief Taylor states car 4 is listed for sale. Councilman Ivy made. ai motion for car 4 to be listed to sale. Councilman Howell seconded, all favored, none opposed, motion carried. Chief Taylor request that the department needs to have over time during the holiday to stay on top of things. Councilman Ivy made a motion for the police department to have overtime during the holiday season. Councilman Howell second, all favored, none opposed, motion carried. Councilman Howell states to keep a close eye on things that the shell station had been robbed on 10/31/14 and someone tried to rob a man at gun point at Macs. Councilwoman Greene made motion toj pay the fire department dues for the year. Councilman Ivy second, all favored, none opposed, motion carried. Councilman Howell made motion to provide the throws for Santa in the parade. Councilwoman Moss second, all favored, none opposed, motion carried. Mayor states that there is only one contract for Mt. Vernon, there was a correction made in the contract but there is only one and all copies are the same SO if there are any questions, they should be referred to the mayor. Mayor states he does not want the chief or the city clerk to be harassed about copies or information within the contract. Attorney states that both cities have same copy and there is no hidden agenda. Kim will send a copy of contract to attorney Johnny Lane. Chiefexplained change that was made and will provide copies to council. Councilwoman Greene states that the annual fire meeting will be on 12/11/14. STREETS No business ADDITIONAL, NOTES after pets sign. Citizens are dumping garbage at park in dumpster, will try to get no dumping signs and pick up Attorney Johnny Lane will draft something about dumping in dumpster at park.
