Councilman Howell made a motion to accept the minutes from the meeting 2/26/15. Councilman Heathcoe seconded, all favored, none opposed, motion carried. CITIZENS. ADDRESSING THE COUNCIL Lister Lane needs rocks RESOLUTIONS, ORDINANCES OTHER BUSINESS Mayor presented a new policy, all department heads must sign off on it, and any purchases must go through city clerk or the Mayor PRIOR to purchasing. If city clerk is not available and urgent attention is needed, Mayor or councilperson in charge in overseeing can address. All purchases will be made by purchase order. PLANNING COMMITTEE Regular meeting 3/17/15 ZONING BOARD OF ADJUSTMENTS PARKS AND RECREATION No business Crenshaw Park is coming along really well; there may be 2-3 weeks to completion. CREOLA COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT GROUP Venus Davis and Becky Smith from the CCDG, presented the award for citizen of the year to Jeff Reeves. There were other awesome citizens nominated, two of them Sybil Chambers, and April 4 Bunny Breakfast at SAIL Center or Creola Assembly, details will be announced by next Casie Bennett. meeting. Council invited everyone to relay for life on 4/25/15 POLICE AND FIRE Minister Chestang and several other ministerial friends, read letter and presented award for Officer Rick Daves for his care and professionalism when they were stranded in Creola on 1/24/15, they commended Creola and the entire Police Department for an awesome friendly city, Transmission went out on Fire Chief's vehicle, Mayor asked to bring back to next meeting. Councilman Ivy made a motion to fix Fire ChiefTruck for $2,450 with warranty. Councilwoman Greene seconded, all: favored, none opposed, motion carried. the award was accepted by ChiefTaylor. Kyle Pritchett and Quintin Rains were selected to go to LSU for training; there will be no expense to the city. STREETS Councilman Heathcoe said streets look good. Councilman Heathcoe made motion for Glenn Bailey to fix red truck. Councilman Ivy seconded, all favored, none opposed, motion carried. Councilman Howell made ai motion to put rocks on Lister lane. Councilwoman Moss seconded, all favored, none opposed, motion carried. ADDITIONAL NOTES was discussed. Councilwoman Moss wants to know if anyone has heard from MCHD on the problem area that Kim will have Don Moss to call Mayor about trailer park inquiry. Council is waiting on court clerk to come back with report before a decision is made on the Councilwoman Greene asked when the city would start receiving revenue from Integra. Mr. Chambers will have Easter service in the park Easter morning 7am Councilman Howell made a motion to buy bobby 5 shirts raises. Mayor staled what was lurned in for CDBG.
