Pledge of Allegiance  Upon the call ofroll, the following were found to be present: prayer and add them to your prayer list at church.  Mayor spoke on different people in the community that was sick and asked that everyone say a  Mayor Nelson Councilwoman Greene Councilman Heathcoe Councilman Ivy Councilwoman Moss Councilman Howell  absent  Christie filled in for City clerk and City attorney was absent.  Councilman Heathcoe made ai motion to accept the minutes from the meeting 3/26/15. Councilwoman Moss seconded, all favored, none opposed, motion carried.  CITIZENSADDRESSING THE COUNCIL  Councilman Howell and Councilwoman Greene presented a plaque to Eagle Scout, Troop #32 Travis Parnell and businesses (listed below) that sponsored Mr. Parnell service project of putting  ai fitness trail ini the Creola Park. *Kevin Allen, from Lenzing Fibers, Inc *Jason Andrews, from Andrews Hardware *Mrs. Ludgood- County commissioner *Creola. Ace Hardware (Absent)    Councilman Howell presented Mr. Travis Parnell with at thank you letter from the city for Commissioner Ludgood states it is a pleasure to work with Creola. Commissioner Ludgood states that they are still working on1 the Crenshaw Park that a bridge was left out but was being fixed. They are: also working on a kayak trail from Creola to Chickasabogue Park ini the future. Mayor states that Hardy Rd and Oak tree lane resurfaced. Mayor asked if] Radcliff would be  picking Creola Park.  resurfaced.  RESOLUTIONS, ORDINANCES OTHER BUSINESS  Councilman Howell made ai motion to accept Mr. John Crenshaw proposal to do the boundary  surveying work on Ducey Rd. PLANNING COMMITTEE Regular meeting 4/21/15 start in Oct. No business  Councilwoman Moss second, all favored, none opposed, motion carried.  Mayor asked when they were going to start the groups to pay the grant back. Councilwoman Greene and Rev. Chambers states that when they find out if they were excepted and if sO it will  ZONING BOARD OF ADJUSTMENTS PARKS AND RECREATION needing signs that say No Parking  Councilman Howell states that the parks are being used a lot more. There is a parking situation- Councilman Howell states that that he will put signs up on May 2 to close the disk golf during Rev. Chambers announced about the Women's Prayer walk that will be held on April 18 at 8am, starting at New Beginnings Christian church (101 Creola Lane), contact Michelle Stevenson at  the ministerial day event and it will open back up at 2pm.  648-9276.  Mayor states that the form to fill out for the park usage is doing well. Councilwoman Moss needs signs to hang at the SAIL center stating:  UTILITIES AND SENIOR CITIZEN The senior fund account can pay for them.  NO PARKING - LOADING ZONE. Mayor states to get with Kim and she will order them. Councilwoman Moss thanked Chief, Bobby and guest next door for painting stripes in the senior  parking lot. FINANCE  Councilman Heathcoe made a motion to accept the: financial report. Councilman Howell seconded, all favored, none opposed, motion carried. Councilman Howell made a motion to pay the bills that were presented.    Councilman Heathcoe seconded, all favored, motion carried.  Councilwoman Greene states that a senior report was not available will have at next meeting. Councilwoman Moss states that the CCDG will start an annual Tea party for all Creola residents Councilwoman Green and Mrs. Becky state that the community trash pickup day on. March 28 was great. They picked up 20 bags oft trash. A big thank you to all that come out to help. (Charles Cooner, Melissa Phillips, Mackenzie Nicols, Camryn Anderson, Elliot Hillard, Rebekah Ramirez, Becky Smith, Venus Davis, Lee Anne Greene) supplies was donated by keep The Easter Pancake breakfast held at Creola Assembly of God had around 1001 kids to come, then an egg hunt afterwards. Councilwoman Greene thanked McDonald's for donating a case of Councilwoman Greene states that they are planning a city wide cleanup day on May 30. This will be a combined effort with the Creola community group and the Creola Axis ministerial group. Will meet at Creola assembly and work from 9-1lam and have a hot dog lunch to follow. Councilwoman Greene and Councilwoman Moss are working on the municipal dinner for  CREOLA COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT GROUP that are junior and seniors from Citronelle and Satsuma schools.  mobile beautiful.  pancakes and syrup and Platts for donating the juice.  September, should have a budget toj present at the next meeting.  POLICE AND FIRE  Chief Taylor states that the health department did an inspection last month and states that the shower area needs to be painted. Chief states that they would like to paint the inside ofthe jail as well. The paint that would have to be used cost around $250.00 and can be paid out oft the Creola  correction account.  Councilman Howell made a motion to purchase the paint. Councilman Heathcoe second, all favored, none opposed, motion carried.  Chief Taylor states that they need to order finger print cards, supplies and upgrade inmate property bags that will cost around $310.00 that can be paid out of correction account. Councilman Heathcoe made a motion to purchase the cards, supplies and bags. Councilwoman Moss second, all favored, none opposed, motion carried.  Chief request to change the daily wear of the uniforms to khaki pants and a black polo shirt with an embroidered badge. The officers would wear the regular uniform at special occasion still.  This change over can be paid out of the police equipment fund.  Councilman Howell made ai motion to change out the uniform for police officers. Councilwoman Greene second, all favored, none opposed, motion carried.    Chiefs states that he will be out April 27- -May 41 for schooling. Chiefrequest to use 2 units for the women prayer walk route for over time. Councilman Howell made a motion to use 2 units for the walk. Councilwoman Moss second, all favored, none opposed, motion carried.  Mayor states that next month should be the last payment for the cars. Mayor states that ifit works out and ift the money is there possible looking into purchasing a couple of used cars.  Mayor asked to get some estimates for body camera for the officers.  Councilwoman Greene asked if a report had been put together SO they could look into raises for judge and attorneys; maybe have something together SO they can make a decision at the next Councilwoman Greene states that the fire department has no business, they are good.  meeting.  STREETS  Councilman Heathcoe made a motion to purchase 3 steel weed ealers for the street department. Councilman Howell states that they did get the Kubota lawnmower running but it needs a water pump, oil needs changing and 3 safety devices need to be changed for thei amount of $600.00., also ifit gets fixed would like to use it at the park instead oft the zero turn. Councilman Howell made ai motion to fix the Kubota lawnmower for the price listed. Councilman Heathcoe second, all favored, none opposed, motion carried. Councilwoman Greene states that Turnersville volunteer Fire department is selling Fish plates  Check with building inspector to see ifhel has checked into it.  for $7.00 on Friday, April 24.  Mayor states that a commencement will be at Bishop State on May 7 at 6pm.  Mayor states that Councilman Ivy's health is not the best at this time and he would like someone else to take the Pro tem position.
