ChiefTaylor gave invocation. Pledge of Allegiance Mayor Nelson Councilwoman Greene Councilman Heathcoe Councilman Ivy Councilwoman Moss Councilman Howell Upon the call ofroll, the following were found to be present: absent absent City clerk was present and City attorney was present. Councilman Heathcoe made ai motion to accept the minutes from the meeting 6/11/15. Councilman Howell seconded, all favored, none opposed, motion carried. CITIZENSADDRESSINGTHE COUNCIL Councilwoman Greene states that she had noticed Councilman Ivy has missed 90 consecutive days of meetings and by law he can be removed from office, Councilwoman Greene states that she has already spoken with the league and had them to forward her the law concerning his absence. If he is removed, the council can have him reinstated upon his return. Mayor asked Attorney Johnny Lane to check into it the law; Councilwoman Greene stated that she had a copy ofit with her. Councilwoman Greene stated she was just bringing it to the attention of the council. No business RESOLUTIONS, ORDINANCES OTHER BUSINESS PLANNING COMMITTEE Mr. Chambers stated that they are moving forward with the grant with SARPC ZONING BOARD OF ADJUSTMENTS PARKS. AND RECREATION No business Councilman Howell states that he had some benches donated to the park and when they got dropped off at the park; someone picked them up and took them away. UTILITIES AND SENIOR CITIZEN Finance report will be reported at the next meeting. CREOLA COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT GROUP ready to put in the median closer to the holiday. FINANCE Councilwoman Greene states that they have the flag poles assembled and the 10 flags will be POLICE AND FIRE ChiefTaylor- No business Chief Reeves states that on April 29, 2015 the volunteer fire department responded to a Fed Ex truck fire and in the process of putting the fire out; there was a chemical in the truck that damaged their turnout gear. Chief Reeves states he filed a claim with Fed ex in April for 9 sets oft turnouts that were damaged in the fire when they responded. Chief Reeves states that he has a check from Fed ex in the amount of $29,000 that will be giving to the city with the invoice of the 9 sets of turn outs that have been ordered. Mayor states to give it to Kim. Chief Reeves states he will give the check and invoice at the same time. Chief Reeves states that no one got hurt it was Chief Reeves states that they have received some free equipment from forestry. Chief Reeves states that they have a high water rescue truck; it is for us as well as mutual aid thru county. Chief Reeves states that they have one boat that was given from Fowl River for free and a 15ft Chief Reeves states that Engine 1 needs tires at around $400.00 each. Chief Reeves would like to replace one side in one month and do the other side the following month. Chief reeves states that just the type of chemical that got ini the turnouts. boat giving from Forestry and a wave runner. itis 4 tires and would like to do the driver side first. Councilman Howell states to get a firm price and bring back to nexti meeting. STREETS Councilman Heathcoe states the lawn mower needs 2 front tires for the price of $35-$40.00. Councilman Heathcoe motions to get 2 new tires for the lawn mower. Councilman Howell seconded, all favored, none opposed, motion carried. Councilwoman Greene states that she has the menu for the municipal dinner. ADDITIONAL NOTES There are 3 different restaurants/prices: Chalkboard at $14.95 plate, Roussos at $18.95 per plate.
