CITIZENS, ADDRESSINGTHE COUNCIL No business RESOLUTIONS, ORDINANCES OTHER BUSINESS Councilwoman Moss made a motion to introduce property that belongs to James and Ann Holland on Creax Rd. Councilwoman Greene Introduced property for Linda Mays Jones and Lisa Mays Street on Creax Rd: requesting to be annexed into the city. Councilman Howell second, all favored, none opposed, motion carried. Cm 8.13.15 Page 1 PLANNING COMMITTEE Rev. Chambers invited citizens to attend the meeting on Tuesday. They willl be working on ordnances and changes to the subdivision book, SARPC will be assisting. Rev. Chambers also states that a new church will be moving in the existing building at Creola mart. ZONING BOARD OF ADJUSTMENTS PARKS AND RECREATION No business Councilman Howell thanked the fire department for burning the pile of debris at park. Councilman Howell made a motion to purchase latches for gates around the ball field. Councilman Ivy second, all favored, none opposed, motion carried. UTILITIES AND SENIOR CITIZEN FINANCE Councilwoman Greene made a motion to accept the financial report. Councilman Heathcoe seconded, all favored, none opposed, motion carried. Councilwoman Greene made ai motion to pay the bills that were presented. Councilman Howell seconded, all favored, motion carried. Councilman Howell states that a Pitts & Sons truck broke a culvert. The company is in the process oftaking care of the damages. Councilwoman Greene made ai motion to use the per diem forms. Councilman Howell second, all favored, none opposed, motion carried CREOLA COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT GROUP Mrs. Davis states that the CCDG and Gulf Coast Opry will sponsor school supply drive that ends on Aug. 29. The supplies will be split between Robert E. Lee and North Mobile Elementary and Mrs. Davis states that on June 13 the CCDG had breakfast for the seniors and Veterans and would like recognize Keirstan Bennett, 3rd grader, with a certificate for being an awesome little Middle. helper with the breakfast. POLICE AND FIRE Chiefneeds council approval to apply for grant for a vehicle at the Police Department. Council Howell made ai motion for the Chief to apply fort the grant for the police department. Councilman Ivy second, all favored, none opposed, motion carried. Councilwoman Greene states that Mr. Quinten Rains passed the national forestry registry technician and was also the 2014 fireman of year. Mayor states to invite Quintin Rains to the: municipal dinner. Cm 8.13.15 Page 2 STREETS Councilman Heathcoe made a motion to accept Mr. Snow resignation letter in good standing. Councilman Howell second, all favored, none opposed, motion carried. Councilman Heathcoe states that the new: street signs are in. Mayor states that Hardy Dr. is on the list to be resurfaced no later than August 31. ADDITIONAL NOTES council once they get them. Mayor states that they are getting estimates on some bridge repairs and will bring them to Counci/woman Moss made a motion to change council meeting from September 24 meeting to September 17 at 6:30 at the sail center. Councilman Howell seconded, all favored, none opposed, motion carried. Mayor asked Kim and Chief to state their concerns about the Mobile County personnel board. Mayor and council states they would like to check into what can be done to help better the Mrs. Casie Bennet asked the council and Mayor to think about banning dogs from city parks. Councilman Howell states that the city does have a leash law, if dog are in park with no leash, call police department. Mayor states for council to think about it and bring back to council. Don Moss, building inspector, ask the council for permission to call county about cutting the Councilwoman Greene states that Rep. Bradley Byrne will be in Chickasaw on August 19 at 2:30pm.
