Rev. Chambers gave invocation. Councilman Howell made a motion to accept the minutes from the meeting 2/25/16. Councilwoman Moss seconded, all favored, none opposed, motion carried. CITIZENSADDRESING THE COUNCIL No business RESOLUTIONS, ORDINANCES OTHER BUSINESS Mayor stated that when council members obtain CMO hours that the city will take care of expenses related as the city has always done with previous council and employees. Councilman Heathcoe made a motion for City to pay for all expenses incurred in Councilman Howell second, all favored, none opposed, motion carried. Councilwoman Greene made ai motion to change the qualifying fee from $35.00to Councilman Ivy seconded, Councilman Heathcoe opposed, motion carried by majority $50.00. vote. PLANNING COMMITTEE Rev. Chambers asked the council to start attending meetings to support the Economic Development project.. The next meeting will bel March, 15, 2016. Rev. Chambers thanked city for supporting Roy Porter's family, for the resolution and city clerk and officer being present at the home going celebration for retired employee, Roy Porter. Councilwoman Greene made a motion to buy 4 regulation books from SARPC. Councilman Howell seconded, all favored, none opposed, motion carried. ZONING BOARD OF ADJUSTMENTS PARKS AND RECREATION No business Councilman Howell will search for prices to finish Crenshaw park posts. City clerk stated that Wenco planned to do the job on Monday. UTILITIES AND SENIOR CITIZEN No business FINANCE Councilman Heathcoe made a motion to accept the financial report. Councilman Ivy seconded, all favored, none opposed, motion carried. Councilman Howell made. a motion to pay the bills that were presented. Councilwoman Moss seconded, all favored, none opposed, motion carried. Councilman Ivy asked how long wel had on feft on thet bond account. Kim states that it should be paid out 2017-2018. POLICE AND FIRE fighter school. Councilwoman Greene stated that Lenzing Fibers paid for 2 officers to go to LSU to fire Councilman Ivy made ai motion to take limbs cut at church to park to burn. Councilman Heathcoe second, all favored, none opposed, motion carried. STREETS 15-20k has been spent on Ducey Rd: since Dec 2015. CDBG tentatively awarded $345.00 for Ducey Rd. Cm 3.10.16 2 4/7/16 public hearing 4/11/16: action plan willl be approved. ADDITIONAL NOTES CDBG is sponsoring aj pancake breakfast 3/26/16 and an Easter egg hunt. Councilman Heathcoe made ai motion for Councilwoman Moss to be voting delegate. Councilman second, all favored, motion carried, none opposed, motion carried.
