Chambers gave invocation. Councilman Ivy seconded, all favored, none opposed, motion carried. CITIZENS. ADDRESSINGTHE COUNCIL None RESOLUTIONS, ORDINANCES OTHER BUSINESS Councilwoman Greene made motion to purchase 4 police jurisdictions signs. Councilman Ivy second, all favored, none opposed, motion carried. Pro-Tem Howell states that he would like the signs put up immediately. Chief will show where the police jurisdictions signs need to be placed. Mr. Kenny Walker asked why the signs for Saraland can't be removed. Councilman Howell states that he does know that Saraland and Creola have over. lapping. jurisdiction. Councilman Howell stated he wants Creola Police Jurisdiction sign wherever they need tol be. Chief states our Police jurisdiction extends beyond their sign. Police jurisdiction is determined by population. Chiefexplained police jurisdiction. Cm 6.22.16 -1- There was general discussion about Creola and its boundaries. Pro-Tem Howell states there is a meeting scheduled next week by Mayor Nelson with Mayor Rubenstein, he states that he does not have the time or date but Mayor Nelson informed him that there will be a meeting. Councilwoman Greene asked what time and date sO that she could attend Pro-Tem Howell states to ask the Mayor hel has no detail. PLANNING COMMITTEE No business No business ZONING BOARD OF ADJUSTMENTS PARKS AND RECREATION Councilman Howell states that he has two bids for the fence between soccer field and Old hwy 43. Mobile fence bid $4100.00 (400 ft fence) and Hagen fence of $5650.00, also asked for a price for covering the dugouts as well. He states that he will bring all back to the next meeting. Councilman Howell states that the women's! bathroom needs at toilet. Councilman Ivy made a motion to purchase a toilet. Councilman Heathcoe second, all favored, none opposed, motion carried. UTILITIES AND SENIOR CITIZEN Councilwoman Greene states Mrs. Casie Bennet said she knows someone that has ice Councilwoman Greene states that Arkema is hosting a fish fry July 1, 2016 at the sail Rev. Bill Chambers states he is coming to council with the issue of the gentleman with lift on Ellison Ave. The owner stated at the zoning meeting that he was not having a business, that he was only working on one car at a time but now he is working on several cars. Rev. Chambers states that he needs to cease and assist working. He can't have a business in that area because the property is not zoned for it. Pro-Tem Howell states that he or the other council knows anything about this and he" would like the council to be aware of anything going on within the city. Rev. Chambers stated that the council should be aware, the Mayor was in attendance at the meeting along with the building inspector and Councilwoman Greene, he states that no one knew about the lift and if he was not updated then he is welcome to have copies of the minutes. Pro-Tem stated that he feels the zoning board is doing a great job he just didn't know anything about this issue. Councilwoman Greene states she was at the meeting. Councilman Howell states that the building inspector needs to go over there and to stop work. Rev. Chamber asks Councilwoman Greene to give each council person a copy ofthe zoning minutes. POLICE AND FIRE No business STREETS Councilman Heathcoe motioned to purchase 2 street signs and 1 pole for Ducey Rd. Councilman Ivy second, all favored, none opposed, motion carried. ADDITIONAL NOTES Councilwoman Greene states that the Hunting class will be Monday at the City Hall by Mr. Buddy Bryant states that people or shooting guns close to! his subdivision and would like the council to look at the ordinance and maybe getting them a little further away Mr. Avis Walker states that on Old Hwy 43 that the bushes have grown up close to his Terri Foster.
