No challenged votes. DELIVERY AND READING OF ELECTION RESULTS Mayor Pro-tem Greene states that the Canvass Resolution 2016 results as follow: Place two Venus Davis Curtis Heathcoe Harold Martin Place three James Ivy Ralph Walker Cm 8.30.16 174 votes 174 votes 188 votes (Machine one- 137, machine two- 34, absentee -3) (Machine one- 139, machine two- 32, absentee- -3) (Machine one- 140, machine two- 40, absentee -8) 251 votes 282 votes (Machine one- 189, machine two- 58, absentee -4) (Machine one- 227, machine two- 47, absentee -8) Place four Tonya Moss Tim Ryals Place five Kendal Hadaway Mark Howell 308 votes 222 votes (Machine one- 239, machine two- 56, absentee -13) (Machine one- 171, machine two- 50, absentee -1) 278 votes 259 votes (Machine one- 214, machine two- 53, absentee-11) (Machine one- 203, machine two- 53, absentee- -3) Now be it resolved by the Town Council of Creola, Alabama, that Ralph Walker received the majority of the votes for place 3, Tonya Moss received the majority of the votes for Place 4 and Kendal Hadaway received the majority of the votes for place 5 and is hereby duly elected to this office beginning the first Monday in November 2016. No candidate received the majority vote for place 2 and Venus Davis (33%), Curtis Heathcoe (33%) and Harold Martin (34%) received the first most and second most votes cast putting this office in a 3 way tie. Curtis Heathcoe formally withdrew from the run off race on Wednesday, August 24, 2016. Therefore ai runoff election between remaining candidates will be held Tuesday, October 4, 2016. ADOPTION OF CANVAS RESOLUTION Councilman Ivy made ai motion to adopt the canvas resolution. Councilman Howell second, all favored, none opposed, motion carried. AGENDA Mayor pro-tem Greene states that Commissioner Ludgood is dedicating Crenshaw Park on September 24, 2016 and would like to ok some overtime for the police department for this event. Councilman Howell made motion overtime for the police department. Councilwoman Moss second, ali favored, none opposed, motion carried. Councilwoman Greene states that is what she is asking for because it is an educational hunting class on September 17: from 8-5pm. class for the community and the class is free.
