Chambers gave invocation. Pledge of Allegiance Mayor Nelson Councilwoman Greene Councilman Heathcoe Councilman Ivy Councilwoman Moss Councilman Howell Upon the call ofroll, the following were found to be present: City clerk was present and City attorney was absent Councilman Ivy made a motion to accept the minutes from the Council meeting 9/8/16. Councilman Howell seconded, all favored, none opposed, motion carried. CITIZENSADDRESSINGTHE COUNCIL will be held this day as well at 12: 00pm. Mayor states that Mr. Philip Anthony will review 2014 audit on 10/11/16 at 6pm; as soon as this one is finished he will start on 2015 audit. Mrs. Kim states that the election canvas Mr. Eddie Duke wants to know if the political meeting was approved by council. Mayor states that it was not approved prior to the council meeting. Councilman Howell states to put up No parking by soccer field at sail center and also to get Chiefto block offt the back part of the park for the dedication as well. Mayor states that the County is moving forward on working on the bathrooms at the park UTILITIES AND SENIOR CITIZEN No business - just helping with the dedication Saturday FINANCE Next meeting POLICE AND FIRE No business for fire department. Chief states that Asst. Chief Gary Davis turned in his resignation letter on September 30, Councilwoman Greene motioned to accept resignation in good standing as of9/30/16. 2016. Councilman Ivy second, all favored, none opposed, motion carried. STREETS and cleaning ditches. Dairy Rd. Councilman Heathcoe states that bobby has been very busy working on Crenshaw Park Councilman Howell states that he had someone approach him and ask that he tell Bobby and Councilman Heathcoe, that they appreciate them cutting the limbs down on Lister A citizen states that on Creola drive the limbs need to be cut the grass needs to be cut and they also need someone with a back hoe to push the grass back sO the water can drain. Mayor states that it will get passed on to the street department. Cm9.22.16 2 ADDITIONAL NOTES Councilwoman Greene states the dogs in park cancer walk was last weekend. Councilwoman Greene thanked the city for sponsoring the event, special thanks to Platt's Councilman Ivy as citizen would like to donate a 20 ft wide by 300 ft road to the city and it has been surveyed and probated. Councilwoman Moss states that you can not take a Mayor states that he spoke with Atty. Jay Ross. Councilman Ivy has had it surveyed and probated and went before zoning board and then referred back to council for a decision. The council can bring it in or reject it. This is a donation from Mr. Ivy to the city. Mayor Councilman Howell made a motion to accept the donation oft the road from Mr. Ivy. Mrs. Cathy asked ift the city was going to maintain the road. Councilman Heathcoe states that it will not be paved. Councilwoman Greene states that she does not agree with it and for donating hot dogs, chips and drinks.
