Upon the call ofroll, the following were found to be present:  Pledge ofAllegiance Mayor Nelson Councilwoman Greene Councilman Heathcoe Councilman Ivy Councilwoman Moss Councilman Howell absent  City clerk was present and City attorney was absent Opening of challenged votes ifany No Challenged votes Delivery and reading of election results  Mayor read the canvass resolution 2016 of the run off election.  Venus Davis  place 2  180 votes  (Machine one- 144, machine two- 21, absentee -15)  Harold Martin  place 2  193 votes  (Machine one- 143, machine two- 24, absentee -26)  Cm canvass 10.11.16  1    Now be it resolved by the Town Council of Creola, Alabama that Harold Martin received the majority of the votes for place2, and is hereby duly elected to this office beginning  the first Monday in November 2016. Adoption of canvas resolution  Councilman Ivy made ai motion to adopt the canvass resolution. Councilwoman Moss second, all favored, none opposed, motion carried.  Mayor states that an audit workshop at 4 pm with Philip Anthony on 10/12/16. Mayor  states to post a notice, it is open to the public. Councilman Ivy made a motion to adjourn.
