Notices ofr meetings will be posted at the front of city hall, post office, Platts and face book as well Cm11.10.16 1 Mayor appointed the council to comuittees as follow: Counciwoman Greene and Councilwoman Moss Finance Counciiman Martin and Councilman ladaway Councilman Hadaway and Councilman Martin Councilman Walker and Mayor Criswell Police Fire Streets Counciwoman Moss and Councilwoman Greene parks/ senior building/other activities Mayor Crisivell states that the committees are to work with the departments not managing them. Mayor Criswell states that Ric Daves is the Police Chief. Mayor states that Chief is working on getting a couple of Crown Vic cars that are in good shape from Mcintosh. Chief states that he has called them but no response yet. Chief Daves is also Mrs. Bryant siales that it would be nice to have more lighting in the back and side of the Mayor Criswell and Councilman Hadlaway will be working together to fix the lights and Mayor Criswell states that this time of the year is a tight time due to waiting on ad valorem to start coming in sO at this Ume the council will be careful what they spend. Mayor states they are putting a purchase order system in place and you have to have a purchase order 1o buy anything. If it is $300.00 or more council must approve it. A receipt must be put with ever purchase order and it must match up to an invoice. Mayor states that if you do not follow procedure then the person needs to pay for it themselves because the city will not pay for the purchase Mayor states they are trying to curb Mayor states that Jerry Taylor and Gary Davis leaving us and hiring our Chief and not replacing the Asst chiefwill make up some time and be in pretty good shape. Mayor states they are looking at some grants in the next few weeks. The construction is going on for the bathroom at the park and will be much better than what we had in the past. Commissioner Ludgood paid for the fence to go out by the soccer field to keep the Counci'woman Moss asked if they had a count of attendees at the LIP day. Mayor states that the LIP (Lemoyne Industrial Park Meeting) meets at the Turnersville volunteer fire department building in front ofLenzing Fiber and iti is open to the public in this area and he encourages everyone to attend. They will continue to work on their hours which they will be well over the expected in-kind hours. The contract ends the end of March. Mayor states this is a grant contract that will end up like ab brochure for pcople that would like to move into Creola or business that would like to come. Mayor states that Kim will cut a check for the number of hours the operator worked and Councilman Walker will hand them a check on Saturday afternoon. Mrs. Venus states that the community group was started in 2013. Mrs. Venus states that the group has its own bank account at Regions and employee identification number and what the group would like to get the remaining funds that is in a city account to be given the group toj put in the community group account and keep it ali together but separate from the city. Councilwoman Greene states that they would keep an open financial statement at the city hall. The group is all volunteers and $1500.00. does not get paid for any work done thru this group.
