CENTER ON November 7, 2016 @ 5:30PM  Mayor Criswell called the meeting to order Mr. Ron Blake gave invocation.  Pledge  INTRODUCTION OF OFFICER. ADMINISTERING OATH David Limmerman introduced oath administrator, Judge Jay Ross. ADMINSTRATION OF OATH OF OFFICE INI DUPLICATE Judge Ross administrated the oath ofoffice to all council members. PRESENTATION OF NEW ADMINISTRATION Judge Jay Ross presented the New Mayor and Council.  ROLL CALL Mayor Criswell Councilwoman Greene Councilman Martin Councilman Walker Counciwoman Moss Councilman Hadaway  NOMINATIONS FOR PRO-TEMPORE MAYOR APPOINTMENT Mayor Criswell asked to hear a motion for the Pro-Tem mayor appointment. Councilwoman Greene states that they previously served 6 months at a time starting with place one and just going down. Councilwoman Greene states they are happy with it ifhe Mayor Criswell states he is happy with it and asked all in favor ofit. All favored.  is.  Cm 11.7.16  1    ESTABLISHMENT OF TIME AND PLACE OF REGULAR MEETINGS Mayor Criswell states that next Thursday night, November 10 will be a meeting at the Sail center for the first council meeting of the year official for the formation of the committees that will be established and will continue to do that twice a month and will be posting when the council meetings will take place by normal law and order requirements  thru Mrs. Kim Green.  ADOPTIONS OF RULES OF PROCEDURE  Mayor Criswell asked to hear a motion to the adoption of the Roberts Rules of order for Councilwoman Green made a motion to continue using the Roberts Rule of order for the  council. meetings.  Councilwoman Moss second, all favored APPOINTMENT OF COUNCIL COMMITTEES  Mayor Criswell states that the appointment of council committees will be next Thursday  night.  ADDITIONAL INFORMATION ONLY  Mayor Criswell states that they have had to look for a new chief for this next period of time. Mayor Criswell states that reviewed 5 different resumes and information from 5 different candidates and the council have reviewed them. Mayor Criswell asked the Councilman Martin made a motion to appoint Mr. Richard Daves as the permanent police Councilman Hadaway second, all: favored, none opposed, motion carried  council for a motion for ai new chief. Chief for the City ofCreola. Mayor Criswell asked for a motion to hire the Mims Councilwoman Moss made a motion to hire the Mims Law Firm as the City attorney. Councilwoman Greene second, all favored, none opposed, motion carried.  Firm as the legal firm. Mayor welcomed him as the Police chief and with the understanding of the submittal that was on your resume to the council with how much you was asking and conditions of that informed. Mayor asked Mr. Daves if he was ready to assume position of chief. Mr. Daves stated yes. Mayor  presented Mr. Daves with 2 bars that say you are Chief.
