Councilwoman Moss made a motion to accept the minutes from the meetings 2/23/17 with Councilwoman Greene seconded, all favored, none opposed, motion carried changes marking Councilman Hadaway absent. CITIZENSA ADDRESSINGTHE COUNCIL No business RESOLUTIONS, ORDINANCES OTHER BUSINESS Councilman Walker made a motion to have an open purchase order for each department per month (a new purchase order number each: month) with a $500.00 cap. Councilwoman Moss second, all favored, none opposed, motion carried. Mayor states that the city can use the extended purchase order from the county if we need an item that is on their list. Cm 3.9.17 1 PLANNING COMMITTEE Councilwoman Greene states the next meeting will be March 21. Councilwoman Greene and Councilwoman Moss will meet with 5 rivers at the end of March to clear up the last $15,000.00 on the grant. The comp book will be out for the community to view. This is a rough draft sO people can say what they would like to see Councilwoman Greene states that they have had 6 businesses come in the city in the last added or removed. Councilwoman Moss states that the restrooms are coming up for final review after the Councilman Walker: made a motion to put $50.00 fine or 30 days for anyone that does not follow the dog signs in the park. UTILITIES AND SENIOR CITIZEN Councilwoman Moss made a motion for Don Moss, building inspector to go to an Electrical workshop for his yearly certification in Gulf Shores for the amount of$199.00. Councilman Hadaway second, all favored, none opposed, motion carried. Councilwoman Moss states the contract for the awning is in. it should be installed soon. Councilwoman Greene states that the finance statement will be presented at the next meeting. Councilwoman Greene states that there is $93,912.08 in the general fund, payroll has $ 18,250.00, and McPherson oil gets paid every week for the fuel used by the police, fire, street and sail center driver. We have 4 loans and a bond payment of $3959.00 that will pay out April 1, 2018, 2. loans at Regions, one will pay out November 18, 2018 and the other will pay out in 2020 and also 2 loans at Service 151 for the 2 Tahoe trucks and fire truck, escrow payment due $1077.00 paid by April 1st. Councilwoman Greene states they are closer to a budget. Mayor states that they will meet with Mr. Will and Mr. Robert Bettencourt tomorrow about the 4 month audit and will have a certified audit at the end of the year. They are also working with the city on1 the old 2013 and 2016 IRS 941 that was not filed. Councilwoman Greene states that hopefully 2013 should be straight. Mayor states that Mr. Robert Bettencourt will be coming in next month to work FINANCE with Ms. Carolyn some in the clerk position. POLICE AND FIRE Councilman Martin states that the police car they got from McIntosh is just about finished at the paint shop and they are still under budget for the car. Chief Daves will be back from school3 3/10/17. Cm 3.9.17 2 Mayor asked Councilman Hadaway to scrap the red truck and get it offt the property. Councilman Hadaway states that they will get rid of2 red trucks and the other one is about ready to run. Councilwoman Greene asked about the green car being scraped. Mayor states that Doug Kirkland has found someone that might know how to fixi it for $600.00 so they might fix it and sale it. Councilman Walker states that they have not been able to get on Ducey Rd but are Councilman Walker states that they moved the railroad crossing back 6 feet SO maybe it Mayor states that signs are up No trucks except on deliver and if you see trucks in areas Mayor and Councilman Martin states that 17 stray dogs have been picked up by the STREETS planning on getting it graded. will: not be knocked over anymore. that they should not be to call the police department. county pound.
