House, the Council meeting and the Public Hearing to follow. Mayor Criswell commented that he hoped everyone got plenty to eat. 42 citizens attended this meeting. Rev. Michael May gave the Invocation. Pledge of Allegiance Councilwoman Greene Councilman Martin Councilman Walker Councilwoman Moss Councilman Hadaway Mayor Criswell City Attorney - Mr. Mims City Clerk - Carolyn Sue Cain Hearing following this meeting. Upon the call ofroll, the following were found tol be present with the exception of Ralph Walker. ABSENT Mayor Criswell explained that this is an abbreviated council meeting for the purpose ofholding the Public Ms. May Brooks asked to make a presentation to the Creola PD. Mayor Criswell honored her request. Ms. Brooks, a member of "Friends oft the Creola PD, stated that the Friends of Creola PD sponsored the fundraiser back in the summer, to purchase Bullet-Proof Vests for the police officers but when Councilman Martin spoke with Commissioner Ludgood, she sO graciously agreed toj purchase the vests for the officers. Since there isno safety feature to use the money on, Ms. Brooks presented 2 checks totaling $4,742.40 to Mayor Criswell tol be used at the discretion oft the Creola PD toj purchase items for the safety feature project for the department. Ms. Brooks stated that the "Friends of Creola PD" worked tirelessly for the PD. This group made beautiful flower beds ini front of the Police Department and Summer Fest 2017. They sent al huge donation to the Houston TX Hurricane Relief, as well. Ms. Brooks stated that the businesses in Creola and surrounding areas went over 11.09.17 and above with their donations toi the PD fundraiser. She stated, "If you don't shop local, please do! Councilwoman Greene made a motion to approve the minutes of October 26, 2017, as written, seconded by Councilwoman Moss, Roll call for vote. Approved by roll call vote. Following the Public Hearing, Mayor Criswell will give the Councilwoman Moss made a motion to adjourn. Councilman Hadaway seconded, all favored, none opposed, "Mayor's Address".
