Public Hearing 6:00 P.M. Meeting 6:30 P.M. There was a Public Hearing regarding Ordinance #2019-021. The meeting was closed at 6:30 The Council of the City of Creola, Alabama met in the Creola SAIL Center at 6:30 p.m. The meeting was called to order by Mayor William Criswell. We were. led inj prayer by Bill Chambers. Roll call was taken by Marcy Brown. Present at the meeting was Lee Ann Green, Harold Martin, Avis Walker, Tonya Moss, Kendal Hadaway, and Mayor William Criswell. A quorum was in Item #5 Approval of the Minutes - The minutes of the April 11,2019 regular meeting minutes were reviewed. A motion was made by Lee Ann Green to accept the minutes as written. The motion was seconded by Harold Martin. All in favor and the motion was carried. Item #6-1 Bill List- - A motion was made by Tonya Moss to approve the bill list for 4/25/2019. The motion was seconded by Kendal Hadaway. All in favor and the motion passed. Item #7- Citizens to Address Council - There were no citizens to address the council. p.m. and the council meeting started The Pledge of Allegiance was led by Mayor Bill Criswell. attendance. Zoning and Planning - Mr. Chambers stated that there was a lot of good things going on and good progress was being made on the amending of the R4 and R5 zoning ordinance, which will better address the steps being taken to move forward. Ms. Davis resigned from her board position. Dollar General made changes to their plan and would be submitting new drawings shortly. b. Zoning Board of Adjustments - No report C. Parks and Rec - Major Holt reported that there were 280 children playing. Repairs to the well system had to be done at a cost of$1500. The money would be paid out of the funds in the park account. Hel had gotten aj price from Northern Tools on aj portable, gas powered Lincoln electric welder machine that is priced at $3,499.99 with free shipping. Harold Martin made ai motion to purchase the Lincoln Welder machine. Lee. Ann Green seconded Thej public works needs a tractor. Sun South Tractor Company had 5 tractors that were being sold as lease tractors, which is a part of. John Deere. This is on the state bid list. Cost is $34,500 and we can trade the 2013 Mahindra 4530 tractor with a trade in value of $8,000. This brings the cost of the tractor to $26,500. John Deere will finance this tractor. Item #13-1 Mayor Discussion - Mayor Criswell stated that he had al list ofrecommendations from thel Fire Marshall for changes needed at the city hall to accommodate handicap individuals. Quotes were received from Asphalt Services, $5,190.50, and Overstreet Sealcoating LLC, $5,695.76, to seal coat the parking lot, striping, and adding ai ramp to the north end oft the building.
