The Council of the City of Creola, Alabama, met in the Creola City Hall at 6:00 p.m. The meeting was calledt to order by Mayor William Criswell. We were led in prayer by Mr. Walker. Roll call was taken by Brandy Davis. Present at the meeting was Lee Anne Greene, Avis Walker, Tonya Moss, Harold Martin, Kendal Hadaway, Mayor William Criswell, Brandy Davis, City Due to the Covid 19 pandemic, CDC rules were followed for social distancing. For this reason, Marcy Brown videotaped the meeting fori individuals to view vial Facebook Live. Approval of the Minutes The minutes of the May 14, 2020, regular meeting minutes were reviewed. A motion was made by Tonyal Moss to accept the minutes as written. The motion was seconded by Avis Walker. All ini favor, and the motion was carried. The Pledge of Allegiance was led by Mayor Bill Criswell. Clerk, and Marcy Brown, Administrative Assistant. Item #7- Billl List Mrs. Greene made ai motion toj pay the bills. Ms. Moss seconded the motion. Alli in favor and the motion was carried. Mayor Criswell stated that the fire dept. had received a check in the amount of$15,572.22. Thel Mayor also stated that the grinder pump! hadj just went out, at the old See the attached banking information with the amounts for all bank accounts. City Hall building, and had tol be replaced. Item #8 New Business a. The Mayor discussed City Hall needing a new copier due to cost effectiveness. He recommended purchasing new Xerox color copier under the State Bid. He recommended sending the current copier to PD: and then for PD tos send their current copier to Wayne Miller, to use for the Street] Dept. Mrs. Greene made a motion tor move the copiers, to the new locations, after the purchase oft the new copier was made. The motion was seconded by Mr. Walker.. All wasi in favor, and the motion was carried. Mrs. Greene made ai motion toj pass Resolution 2020-003 giving permission tot the mayor to put out for bid, a2009 and a 2011 Crown Victoria that the PDI has, and a gator thati is only good for parts. Ms. Moss seconded the motion. All werei in favor, the motion was Mr. Walkerr made ai motion to givet thel Mayor permission to sign thel Mobile County Commission Joint Purchasing Agreement. This would allow the City of Creolat to purchase items at the same price as the county has on their bid list. Ity was seconded by Mr. Martin. All were ini favor, the motion was carried. carried. Item #9- Mayors Discussion Thel Mayor and Marcy Brown discussed how currently, when a new employee isl hired, therei isas 90-day waiting period for healthi insurance tos start. They recommended to eliminate the probation period. It was suggested that during the open enrollment beginning in October that we change the insurance tol be effective on day one for each employee. All council members requested a Resolution be written up and addedt tot the b. COVID-191 Update- City Hall is still closed until more information is given by Gov. Kay Ivey. Some restraints have been lifted ont the parks. There are still many restraints in place. The drive through is being used, for citizens needing assistance, from City Hall. The SAIL center is closed but is still delivering Meals on' Wheels. agenda for the next council meeting. Ms. Moss has rented her building to the business, Pintolis, an! Italian restaurant.
