The Council of the City of Creola, Alabama, met in the Creola City Hall at 6:00 p.m. The meeting was called to order by Mayor William Criswell. We were led in prayer by Major Roll call was taken by Brandy Davis. Present at the meeting was Lee Anne Greene, Tonya Moss, Harold Martin, Kendal Hadaway, Avis Walker, Mayor William Criswell, and Brandy Davis, City Bernard Holt. The Pledge of Allegiance was led by Mayor Bill Criswell. Clerk. Approval of the Minutes- a. The minutes of the August 27, 2020, regular meeting minutes were reviewed. A motion was made by Mrs. Greene to accept the minutes, as written. The motion was seconded by b. The minutes of the September 1, 2020, special election canvass meeting minutes were reviewed. A motion was made by Mrs. Greene to accept the minutes, as written. The motion was seconded by Mr. Walker. All in favor and the motion was carried. Mr. Walker. All in favor and the motion was carried. Item #7- Bill List Mrs. Greene presented the financials and bill list. Mr. Martin asked how much was spent on the election. Mrs. Greene stated that since we haven'tcompleted the election, due to the runoff, that we don'thave a final number yet. Mrs. Greene made ai motion to approve the financial report and bill list as presented. Ms. Moss seconded the motion. All in favor and the motion was carried. See the attached banking information with the amounts for all bank accounts. Item #8- New Business- a. Amotion was made by Mrs. Greene, for the upcoming Council Members and Mayor to attend the 2020 Orientation Conference and Municipal Leadership Institute, in Montgomery, on October 27, 2020. Mayor Criswell stated that each member will need to pay for the conference, then bring the receipt and mileage to Marcy Brown, to be reimbursed by the City. Mr. Hadaway asked if Brandy Davis, the City Clerk could also attend. Brandy Davis will check on it. Mr. Hadaway seconded the motion. All in favor b. Mrs. Green made a motion to approve Resolution 2020-009, runoff election officers. Ms. - Mrs. Green made a motion to let Terry Foster use the SAIL Center on October 10,2020. He will be offering a free hunting class to Creola citizens. He will observe the 6-foot distance and all other COVID-19 stipulations. Mr. Walker seconded the motion. COVID-19 update- Mayor Criswell stated that the COVID-19 deaths and hospital cases have went down. A rise is expected since school has started back. Citizens to Address Council- - a. Terry Pritchett had questions and concerns about zoning. Mayor Criswell stated that he will need to attend the next planning and zoning meeting to discuss any concerns. Mayor Criswell stated it did not need to be discussed at the regular Council Meetings. Mrs. Moss made ai motion to adjourn the meeting. Mr. Walker seconded the motion.
