Box 345 Clay, Al 35048-0345 PRE-COUNCIL MINUTES March 14, 2017 The City Council ofthe City of Clay, Alabama held al Pre-Council meeting on' Tuesday, March 14, 2017, at 6:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers at City Hall with Mayor Webster presiding and City Manager Ronnie Dixon serving as recorder. Mayor Webster called the meeting to order. Council members present were: Councilor Don Baker, Councilor Becky Johnson, Councilor Bo Johnson, Councilor Dennis Locke, Councilor Ben Thackerson, and Mayor Webster Absent: None The Council discussed the agenda items for thei regular City Council meeting. Mr. Dixon announced that they would be opening bids for the Red Barn property during the council meeting. He stated that Shadow Mayor Webster has spoken to people on. Lake in the Woods to annex into the city and sO far, we. have Mr. Dixon reported that Station #5 is building a clean room for their turn-out gear and the city building Mr. Dixon reported that Clearview Baptist is in the process of surveying thej property behind the church which backs up to. Millington and is going to deed it to the City of Clay for thej purpose ofa cul de sac for Councilor Thackerson inquired about the parking lot at Cosby Lake and Mr. Dixon said things are going Mr. Dixon stated there would be an. Industrial Development meeting on thel DYS property on March 31, 2017. Hei reported the original name of Cosby lake was Turkey Creek Lake in 1899. The State willl be discussing what they will/will not allow us to do as they are. having the property appraised for sale.
