Resolution No. 2023-12  WHEREAS, on the 18th day of April, 2023, the City of Brundidge Council met to discuss the use of"Unmuffled Compression Brakes" used in the corporate limits of the  City; and  WHEREAS, the City of Brundidge has received multiple complaints from citizens concerning the public nuisance created by the noise of trucks using unmuffled engine  brakes.  NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City of Brundidge Mayor and Council has determined that, in the best interest of the public health and general welfare of the citizens of Brundidge, that the use of unmuffled compression brakes be restricted. NOW, THEREFORE, BE ITI FURTHER RESOLVED, the City of Brundidge Council approves the installation of four (4) signs stating "Unmuffled Engine Braking Prohibited" along the four (4) entrances into the City. The signs, posts, installation and maintenance will be provided by the City of Brundidge. The signs shall be installed inside the city limits and within the municipal connecting link where residential areas begin along the four entrances to Brundidge. The following lists the installation sites AL 10 - begin MP 180.180 end at 181.092 AL 93 - begin MP 0.824 end at 2.359 PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED by the Council of Brundidge, Alabama  and information concerning the signs we intend:  this the 18th day of April, 2023.  the undersigned qualified and acting City Clerk of the City of Brundidge, Alabama, do hereby certify that the above and foregoing is a true and correct copy of a resolution adopted by the Council oft the City of Brundidge, at a regular meeting held April 18h_2023,  and that such Resolution is on file in the City Clerk's office.
