Onalaska, Texas 77360 SPECIAL CALLED MEETING MINUTES May 28, 2024  THE STATE OF TEXAS] THE COUNTY OF POLK] 1 THE CITY OF ONALASKA]  The City Council of the City of Onalaska, Texas, met in the chamber room of City Hall for the Special Called meeting on May 28, 2024, at 5:00 p.m. The  following were present: James W. Arnett Shirley Gilmore Kevin Arnett T.D. Jennings Kathy Black Lott Angela Stutts  1 ] ] ] ] ]  Mayor Mayor ProTem Councilmembers City Administrator  And the following visitors: Sign-in sheet attached  Quorum being present, Zachary Davies absence was excused, the mayor continued with the meeting. The purpose of the meeting was to approve Jennifer DeBlanc full-time Telecommunications Operator, approve Brittany Prince full-time Telecommunications Operator, accept resignation of Labor Pool Officer Sara Norsworthy, accept resignation of Labor Pool Officer Richard Harrelson, accept resignation of Court Clerk Macey George, review and approve Resolution 2024-016 authorizing the purchase of 2024 Ford Interceptor Utility Police Department Emergency Response Vehicle and designating signatories and discussion with possible action regarding  retention efforts.  1    APPROVE JENNIFER DEBLANC FULL-TIME TELECOMHUNICATIONS It was moved by Shirley Gilmore and a second was made by Kevin Arnett to approve Jennifer DeBlanc full-time Telecommunications Operator with the  OPERATOR  standard probationary period.  VOTE: For - All; Against - None. Motion carried.  APPROVE BRITTANY PRINCE FULL-TIME TELECOMMUNICATIONS Itv was moved by Shirley Gilmore and a second was made by Kathy Black Lott to approve Brittany Prince full-time Telecommunications Operator with  OPERATOR  the standard probationary period.  VOTE: For - All; Against - None. Motion carried.  ACCEPT RESIGNATION OF LABOR POOL OFFICER SARA It was moved by Shirley Gilmore and a second was made by T. D. Jennings  NORSWORTHY  to accept resignation of Labor Pool Officer Sara Norsworthy. VOTE: For - All; Against - None. Motion carried.  ACCEPT RESIGNATION OF LABOR POOL OFFICER RICHARD It was moved by Shirley Gilmore and a second was made by Kathy Black Lott to accept resignation of Labor Pool Officer Richard Harrelson. VOTE: For - All; Against - None. Motion carried. ACCEPT RESIGNATION OF COURT CLERK MACEY GEORGE to accept resignation of Court Clerk Macey George. VOTE: For - All; Against - None. Motion carried.  HARRELSON  It was moved by Shirley Gilmore and a second was made by T. D. Jennings  REVIEW AND APPROVE RESOLUTION 2024-016 AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF 2024 FORD INTERCEPTOR UTILITY POLICE DEPARTMENT EMERGENCY RESPONSE VEHICLE AND DESIGNATING It was moved by Shirley Gilmore and a second was made by Kevin Arnett to approve Resolution 2024-016 authorizing the purchase of 2024 Ford Interceptor Utility Police Department Emergency Response Vehicle and  SIGNATORIES  designating signatories.  VOTE: For - All; Against - None. Motion carried.  2    EXECUTIVE SESTIONIRACCORDANCE WITH TEXAS GOVERNMENT At 5:05 City Council entered into Executive Session in accordance with Texas Government Code 551.074 Personnel Matters and reconvened at 6:34. DISCUSSION WITH POSSIBLE ACTION REGARDING RETENTION Itw was moved by Shirley Gilmore and a second was made by Kevin Arnett to approve five thousand dollars increase to base pay for Police Officers.  CODE 551.074 PERSONNEL MATTERS  EFFORTS  VOTE: For - All; Against - None. Motion carried.  ADJOURNMENT  At approximately 6:35 p.m., it was moved by Shirley Gilmore and a second  was made by T.D.
