Onalaska, Texas 77360 SPECIAL CALLED MEETING MINUTES May 17, 2024  THE STATE OF TEXAS] ] THE COUNTY OF POLK] ] THE CITY OF ONALASKA]  The City Council of the City of Onalaska, Texas, met in the chamber room of City Hall for the Special Called meeting on May 17, 2024, at 12:00 p.m. The  following were present: James W. Arnett Shirley Gilmore Kevin Arnett Zachary Davies T.D D. Jennings Kathy Black Lott Angela Stutts  ] ] ] ] 1 J ]  Mayor Mayor ProTem Councilmembers  City Administrator  And the following visitors: Sign-in sheet attached  Quorum being present, the mayor continued with the meeting. The purpose of the meeting was to review and approve Ordinance 452 extending local disaster declaration and accept the resignation of Chief of Police Jessica Stanton effective  May 31, 2024.  REVIEW AND APPROVE ORDINANCE 452 EXTENDING LOCAL DISASTER It was moved by Shirley Gilmore and a second was made by Kevin Arnett to  DECLARATION  approve Ordinance 452 extending local disaster declaration. VOTE: For - All; Against = None. Motion carried.  1    AÇCEPT THE RESIGNATION OF CHIEF OF POLICE JESSICA STANTON It was moved by Shirley Gilmore and a second was made by Zachary Davies to accept the resignation of Chief of Police Jessica Stanton effective May 31, 2024  EFFECTIVE MAY31,2024  VOTE: For - All; Against - None. Motion carried.  ADJOURNMENT  At approximately 12:09 p.m., it was moved by Shirley Gilmore and a second was  made by Zachary Davies to adjourn the meeting. VOTE: For - All; Against = None.
