LOWNDES COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS  MINUTES FY25 Budget Public Hearing June 13,2024-9:00 AM  COMMISSIONERS PRESENT: Chairman Bill Slaughter Commissioner Joyce Evans Commissioner Mark Wisenbaker Commissioner Clay Griner  Vice Chairman Demarcus Marshall and Commissioner Scott Orenstein were not present.  Chairman Slaughter called the meeting to order at 9:00 a.m.  PUBLIC HEARING  Presentation of the Proposed FY 2025 Budget  Finance Director, Stephanie Black, presented an overview of the fiscal year 2025 budget and offered No discussion took place among the Commissioners and Chairman Slaughter opened the meeting Chairman Slaughter and the Commission thanked Ms. Black and her staff for their continued efforts. County Manager, Paige Dukes, commended Ms. Black and her staff, with special thanks to Mrs. Rachel Bowen for helping with the budget process. Mrs. Dukes mentioned the low turnover rate and the unfilled positions that remain on the books, further adding that while they remain on the books if needed, many of those unfilled positions were unfunded in the budget as they had remained vacant  toa answer any questions.  to the public. No one spoke for or against this request.  for two or more years. ADJOURNMENT  Chairman Slaughter adjourned the meeting at 9:12 a.m.
