Invocation was led by Board Member Mayor Houston.  3. Pledge of Allegiance to the U.S.A. Flag and Texas Pledge led by Board Member  Mayor Houston.  Park and Events Board Meeting Minutes, April 18, 2024    4.1 PUBLIC COMMENTS: There were no comments made. 5.ACTION! ITEMS:  A. Consider approval of minutes from the Park and Events meeting held on  March 21, 2024, as presented.  Board Member Redmon moved to approve the minutes for the Park and Events  Board Meeting held March 21, 2024, as presented. Board Member Samuels seconded the motion.  Motion carried - all ayes.  B. Receive, discuss, and take action, accepting the Easter event expenses and  eclipse glasses finance report.  Board Members received, reviewed and discussed the Easter Event  expenses ofand eclipse glasses finance report.  The total was $4,385.00, $750.00 ofthat was the eclipse glasses and the  remaining was park board funds.  Budget will now go under Economic Development Type B. This has been appropriated and $5,000 has been moved over into it (line item). Board Member Mayor Houston moved to accept the Easter expenses as  presented.  Board Member Samuels seconded the motion.  Motion carried - all ayes.  C.R Receive, discuss, and take action, accepting reports on grant funding, park  maintenance operations, and updates.  Katherine Reading, City Manager, updated members with information for the Park Grant. The Grant is asking us to get an RPLS survey ofthe  park.
