We recognize that the Ramaytush Ohlone have lived in harmony with nature for millennia, and that to achieve a truly ecologically sustainable future for Millbrae, we must embrace Indigenous traditional ecological knowledge in how we care for the city's lands, waters, and all its people. Motion failed 3-2 by roll call vote with Consideration of the original motion by Schneider/Goodman to Adopt Resolutions to Order and Call a General Municipal Election to be held on November 5, 2024 (Resolution No. 24-47); to Request the San Mateo County Clerk to Render Specific Election Services (Resolution No. 24-48); and to set Certain Policies Applicable to Candidates with an amendment to increase the candidate statement of no more than four hundred (400) words (Resolution No. 24-49). Finance Director Mike Sung presented the report. The Council asked questions and provided comments. There was no public comment regarding this item.  Motion by Schenider/Goodman to close the public hearing. Motion carried 5-0 by roll call vote. The ballot Motion by Fung/Schenider to direct the City Clerk, Harris & Associates, and their assistants to tabulate the Fire. Assessment ballots and return to the City Council with the results.
