She only plans tol bel here for3 -6r months, buts statedi there isal lot ofv work tob be done during that period. One oft the biggest problems int the downtown is parking. AParking Study Groupi isb beings set upt tor maker recommendationsi tol help alleviate parking problems. Currently the Downtowni is working on getting ani intern tol help with data. Shey went ont tos say that Chris Nasuti, Public Works Director & City Engineer, is ont the Parking Study Group and shei is hopingt to geti inputf from the Chief of Police. City Manager Suplizio thought shes shoulda add, Joe Mitchell as hei ist the Director of the Redevelopment. Authority. She was very receptive tot thei idea. Solicitor Cherry proposes that Council consider extending the City Manager's current contract to December 31, 2025; coinciding witht the consolidation. Brady STisa a blighted property that came upi for tax sale andt the City purchased thej property; they purchased the property insteado oft the Redevelopment. Authority becauset they dor not have toj pay transfer tax. The City wouldl like the property developed. Redevelopment Authority Director Mitchell has apossible purchaser fort the property. Ast the City must bid anything over $6,000 and accept whoever the higher bidderi isr regardless of whether they willt take care oft thep property orr not;t the City wouldi liket to control whot the propertyi iss soldt to. Therefore, they wouldI liket tot transfer the propertyt tot the DuBois Redevelopment Authority who can ask for proposals and choose the best one. Att the sale oft the property thel Redevelopment. Authority can then reimburse the City for the original purchase price.
